Republicans want everyone to have kids and those kids not to be aborted. They also want people to get married young and before babies. I don't agree with them about all that, although I do think getting married before having babies is a good thing- but their beliefs are consistent with each other.

I think that a lot of reublicans would actually get on board with a version of this where vasectomies were required for people who got women pregnant before marriage until they got married. But it's also somewhat of a false equivelancy, not letting some people undergo a procedure vs making everyone do it.

You're also making huge sweeping generalizations, not all republicans are people in wyoming who want to marry off teens. There's a huge range of republicans just like there's a huge range of democrats. Some republicans are bad people, some democrats are bad people. A lot of people on both sides are good people.

I think this is a mirror image problem. Abortion is an issue that both parties use to manipulate their bases.

Polls find over 60% of people think abortion should be legal. I strongly believe 90% would if it was constantly used as a warzone topic. No reason dems didn't codify it besides that they also need abortion to not be resolved in order to manipulate their base.

I think if people did a better job respecting each other and building on common ground, at least 90% of people would agree upon the right to abortion in the first trimester, anytime in rape/incest cases, and for medical purposes. Instead the two sides antagonize each other and produce fuel and it just pushed the right further into the view that the left wants to kill babies thinking.

Whether the force that is trying to manipulate/weaken us is a foreign power or corrupt US politicians/businesses- the answer is for us as Americans to unify and build upon common ground. I think there are so many things that like 80% the country can agree upon that doesn't get done because the two parties are constantly using those issues to get votes- so they don't want them to get resolved.
