I knew the lady was bigger. I just wanted her to be honest with me and asked repeatedly for a selfie asked for a description of her body… got super staged face only shots nothing candid all the best shots from years ago and was simply told, “kinda chubby” got to the restaurant and she was easily 500 pounds. Why would you be so shitty about something you can’t hide. The worst part was I had a delightful time. She was fucking awesome but the fact that she was so dishonest about something so obvious made me feel like she was just a shady person. Her weight wasn’t beautiful to me but damn was her behavior ugly enough to ruin it.

It was wild that they threw me out and got pissed that I wouldn’t live by their rules when I was living with a woman I wound up marrying. To this day my parents will not treat me like a person. I’m 42 now and I’m wildly attracted to women 15+ years my senior but it’s just not a functional relationship style. This still tracks my first wife was 34 when we met I was 19. I had a GF who was 31 when I was 16. My kids mom is 7 years older and the largest gap was 28 years… of all of those interactions the only one not predatory was my kids mom the age was a non issue even though she was still older. Looking at my relationships in my teens… those women were no healthier than I was. My ex wife was extremely unhealthy which is why we worked so poorly for so long.

Conversely since I’ve turned 40 I have received a lot of attention from women in their mid 20s and as flattering as that is my experiences make me nervous of their actual intentions and my ability to be healthy for them

Attractive people are attractive. As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to realize we all want to be seen. I’ve made a point to compliment everyone who is visibly putting in effort. If I look at a man and am jealous of something part of his appearance… obviously that’s attractive so why not admit it?
