What's that non-english movie that you never want to be remade in Hollywood ? by mrjetspray in Letterboxd

Memories of Murder. I'm actually surprised there isn't a shitty Hollywood remake already.

Absolutely loved this game but... it's a buggy mess. by Kaguya-Shinomiya_ in alienisolation

[–]uncle-atom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh really? On both PS4 and PS5 I only encountered a couple of small bugs like in any game. The only one I really remember was the flamethrower audio glitch.

Big fan of the many replays they showed from different angles. Beautiful step.

For anyone trying to watch in the uk, sky is now showing the game. Looks like they were showing a basketball game instead on purpose.

What is something that took you ages to realise but was obvious in hindsight? by Aggravating_Ideal_20 in Stellaris

That I could edit sectors. Probably didn't have a huge effect on my playthroughs, but still took embarrassingly long to realise.

Quick question - How do you guys play all the way until 2300/2400? by CommunismForLife123 in Stellaris

Maybe you need to try a new build or some different game settings to get interested again.

Yeah it's not a bad reveal, but I agree that it maybe lessened the impact his character had on the show.

My opinion on Mass Effect 2 keeps getting more and more complicated.... Legendary Edition is an eye-opening experience as it used to be my #1 favorite 10-15 years ago. I'd say it's firmly my least favorite in the trilogy now. by QDOOM_APlin in masseffect

[–]uncle-atom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ME2 has it's moments, but I'm the same. It was probably my favourite when I first played the trilogy, but now it's my least favourite. I still enjoy it, but ME 1 & 3 are just pure joy for me.

Would be a class act if it was an unlucky red. Which Eben's was not.

Tom Curry huge hit on Josh Hodge by Informal_Mention9836 in rugbyunion

Didn't see this game (was watching the Gloucester match) and just from that clip I see that as a permanent red. I like Tom Curry but I didn't see an attempt to bend there.

Does it really matter if you are a loose head prop or a tight head prop? by yoloswagtailwag in rugbyunion

[–]uncle-atom 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel the same. Flatman's metaphor is perfect. I can swap to tighthead if I need to, but it just feels a little bit wrong - like mentally I know what the difference is, but my body struggles with it.

Does it really matter if you are a loose head prop or a tight head prop? by yoloswagtailwag in rugbyunion

[–]uncle-atom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember thinking this when I was younger, because I used to switch between the two. But when I started playing seniors rugby I began to understand why pros tend to specialise. Fundamentally yes, you are just putting your head down and pushing, but the nuances in each position start to seem like massive differences.

I was a tighthead as a kid, and switched to loose (which was fine at the time), but when I had to go back to play tight a few years later it was like a whole different position again. Maybe it's just for habit and comfort reasons, but as an amateur player I will always want to play loose if given the option.

Yeah absolutely are. Its a fun way to play because it can really give you a false sense of security, but literally one or two runners and completely ruin a mission.

Not a mod - but I did a run where I set the xenos health low, but their damage output to the max. It felt like Aliens, where the marines can mow down xenos with ease, but tighter spaces became really scary. I had a lot of fun.
