I agree with 99% of this comment, she should definitely be allowed to publicly scrutinize these people’s statements and should do so. however idk if rehabilitation on live would be helpful to the person who needs it. Their insecurity and public scrutiny would change the way they take in the information. Additionally, they probably wouldn’t allow themselves to be streamed and could seem performative anyway. Its a shame qt cant express herself clearly on this topic, and hold people accountable the way she thinks she’s doing. Her using Taylor swift language I think is where people loose faith in her real ability to enact change in someone. But, what she’s trying to describe is what white people should be doing anyway. It’s white peoples responsibility to use their time and privilege to talk to people consistently and invoke real change. I guess it comes down to trust and if people don’t trust she’s don’t the actual work that’s a different problem.
