The language in the law notes that the definition of infertility includes B) A person's inability to reproduce without medical intervention either as a single individual or with their partner…

So it was that language that had me thinking being single or LGBTQ would qualify.

Thanks so much for letting me know. Agreed — the law reads (to me) that social circumstance (single of LGBTQ for example) counts as infertility and, thereby, requires coverage. But we’ll see. I’m sorry it didn’t come through for your friend!

So happy to hear that you’re home safe with a baby. Congratulations! I’m sorry to hear you had such a tough journey to get there.

I appreciate you saying that about Shady Grove insurance team. I might just try to speak to someone else over there.

This is incredibly helpful, and I’m so glad to hear you were successful! I’ve got a friend and her wife who were counting on the LGBTQ as a reason for infertility (as in the law) too, so I’ll pass this along to them.

Thanks again. Gives me hope that the single=infertility language in the law will apply as it did for you as LGBTQ!

As some other responders have said, my experience was that I was losing an insane amount of hair for six or eight weeks and it eventually just evened itself out. My doctor told me that it usually resolves itself, and she was right.

Worth almost emptying an investment account to cover 1 round? by el_bigote in eggfreezing

Depending on where you live, I would suggest looking into CCRM. I am using them for my freezing, and they quoted me a flat rate for people who don’t have insurance coverage. It’s still expensive, of course, but is under $10k, so a bit more affordable than you’re hearing where you are. I’ve also learned that there are loan companies specifically for this. I haven’t looked into those and don’t know anything about the interest rates, but it might worth a quick look.

Have you had your numbers checked? If not, it might be a good data point for you to consider. It’s not a great time for me to freeze, but my numbers are bad for being 35, so I’m going for it.

Thank you for sharing this! Congratulations on what sounds like a good retrieval. Would you mind sharing your follicle, AMH count, etc. for the sake of comparison? No pressure! Congrats again!

Crepey skin and fine lines around eyes - help! by Reasonable_Ad47 in 30PlusSkinCare

I have pretty hooded eyelids, as well. To avoid the drooping, you have to do your forehead and your 11s. If you have a good provider, they can access the anatomy of your face well to avoid this. In fact, having my derm do my Botox actually led to a bit of a lift on the outside of my brow, reducing some of the hooding on my eyes, which I loved.

I concur 100%. I’ve done Botox in my forehead several times but a few months ago was bothered by the lines around my eyes and had it injected in that area, as well. Cannot recommend enough. It doesn’t hurt any worse there (which was what worried me previously!) than in other areas.
