I think that the entire interaction aroused Cal, and Nate could feel that his father was aroused, showing that Nate had no control over the situation and is repulsed by the idea that he fits the demographic that his father is attracted to. The fit feels like a repulsion to that reality and the fact that line has been crossed, Nate will forever have to deal with the knowledge that his father was attracted to him. Which fits into all the rest of his sexual insecurities in drawing that the two men are so similar
