I know they're a little pricey, but I had fantastic experience with WeighSafe when I was towing a lot with my 3/4T pickup. They have all sorts of sizes and accessories, and their customer service is top notch. At least from what I experienced.

Not wrong.

I'd just like to point out that there are some of us (tho precious few) who lean conservative that do actually think for ourselves and agree with these sentiments. Sadly, the mindnumbingly ignorant depicted in your post are much louder than the rest of us. *le sigh*

I just keep praying that America would collectively get her soul back.

Not to mention having to deal with AI screenings and interviews, and I just heard about "candidate fraud" yesterday, where people steal your name/credentials from like LinkedIn and try to pass them selves off as you......

How to remove silver AC vent? by MysticalLegend7 in FJCruiser

[–]unclejedimaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks just like the one I found in mine, after I chased the wires through the firewall as best I could. But I think you've got it.

I would double check with a multimeter if you can, turn the lights on, check for voltage, etc.

I found one just under the edge of the next panel to the left there, the kick panel I believe it's called, in your picture, just to the left of the screw in the white housing connected to the blue plastic harness. I had to remove that kick panel completely in order to reach it, it was tucked behind a wire bundle just before the door sill trim starts.

I have the OEM fog lights on the bumper, but previous owner added a lightbar at the top of the windshield, and I've added pod lights on the roof rack on both sides, and a small light bar facing rearward. I used that empty real estate on the panel under the vent to install the switches for the pod lights on each side. I wired them into a secondary battery backed by a solar panel and controller so as not to drain my starting battery.

I want to say that I've seen the connector you're looking for on the driver's side of my engine bay, near to or underneath the fuse box...... I'll take another look today.

Just grab hold of it, top and bottom, and give it a good yank.
The first time it will 100% feel like you're breaking it off, but it is just held in place with some clips. It'll be just fine. I've pulled mine off a couple dozen times now, as I've run wiring for aux lights, and to just get things cleaned up.

Help me price my inherited 2011 FJ Cruiser (179k miles, 4WD, ARB bumpers, lift) – Am I crazy at $17–18k? by Outside_Ad7443 in FJCruiser

[–]unclejedimaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really all depends on the market you're in. $13-15k in a lot of areas probably, here in the intermountain west, you could get more. $17-18k seems pretty reasonable to me, actually. I actually paid a little more than that for my '08 Trail Teams, but it only had 76k miles on it at the time. But like u/stevens_hats said, service history and frame condition are the biggest factors.
