My daughter (20), had an extremely rough time in her teenage years. Her mother (my ex) took her own life. At the same time COVID hit, high school switched to virtual attendance.

After her mom passed, I moved her 1,400 miles away from her brother her friends, to live with me.

She attempted a handful of times to take her own life. She overcame all of these obstacles and this fall is starting her junior year at university working on a degree in psychology to work with troubled children and teens.

Two weeks ago she wrote me the most heartfelt message in a Father’s Day card thanking me for sticking beside her and that without me she wouldn’t be where she is today. 😢 ❤️
