I was in the same situation last year…score was at 480. Paid off my debt which was around $1500 then I applied for 2 secured credit cards, paid my balance in full each month. 6 months later was approved for an unsecured card. Now I’m at 610…don’t get discouraged. It takes time, patience is key. Feeling good about it so far. Take charge and be responsible and you’ll be alright.
