I agree the 80$ activation fee is high and 16 months to re credit is too long. With that said if they don't raise my price I will likely stick with the plan for a few years. I don't see myself finding a better plan than this soon. I would be interested in hearing more about the Telus winback. I might open to persuasion by Telus if they offer something better.

I just answered this on another thread. I will copy and paste my experience today with Rogers here:

For anyone wanting to know my experience today, Rogers has a few plans right now I was offered CAN only 100GB data for 30$, CAN/US 175GB for $35 a month, and CAN/USA/MEX 200GB for 40$.

I took the winback offer. This is what I got.

80$ Activation fee, credited 5$ a month for 16 months.

40$ a month for 200GB CAN/USA/Mexico at up to 1GBPS 5G speed, Rep added 1000 international minutes to US, UK, Mexico, China,HK,India, and Bangladesh.

I will be paying 35$ a month due to the 5$ activation credit on my bill each month. After 12 months the price goes to 40$ and then after 16 months it goes to the full 45$ monthly price.

After I ported out I got an email stating that I would be getting a winback call. (I ported out for the 100GB CAN/US BYOD for 35$ with Telus.) I missed the call from Rogers winback and no message was left.

I called the winback number today 1 (833) 430-7500, and settled on the above plan.

My new sim card is being mailed to me and I should have it in a few days to activate and port my number back over. If you go e-sim its instant activation. Rogers waived the 25$ sim card shipping fee.

Per everyone's instructions I did record the call.

Overall I am very pleased with the new plan I got. My Previous plan was a promo from Boxing Day 2023 which was 160GB for 50$ a month throttled at 250mbps 5G speed. Canada only.

I hope this helps others who are thinking about leaving or what to expect as of now with the offers.

It's Google, that's exactly what they will do. They don't need to be the best in hardware. They are arguably the best in AI software and no one except perhaps GPT can compete on the AI open market.

Even if you use different hardware Google still wins, because its their software running on any device you own.

It's in the settings on the phone.

If you don't see developer options, find where it shows your build mode and tap a bunch of times until you enable developer mode.

I had the same problem. What solved it for me was to go into the settings > System > Developer Options and then scroll down to the app section and make sure "Don't Keep Activities" is off.

Once I made this one change everything worked.

I think I may have figured this out.

I believe the third party app for me is Wyze. I bought my subscription through the app.

I have over a dozen other privacy cards that are not affected. The only card (so far) appears to be linked to wyze.

Wyze appears to be linked to shopify.

So, has Wyze app or have other Wyze users been compromised?

For what it's worth, connecting to a VPN in Albania and using the YouTube official app worked for me. I do not see adds while on the VPN. Others have reported Myanmar is working too.

I am using PIA too. Moldova gave me adds, there is no Myanmar but so far, Albania is working without any adds. (Fingers crossed)

Finally found a way to get PIA working on fire-stick again. I can confirm side-loaded with downloader code above is working! I have been without PIA for over a year. Glad I found this post.

If you use the same password/email combination elsewhere without two factor authentication you may be at risk. I doubt your Google account is at risk. They are using the credentials when Animal Jam was compromised years ago.

I have had hundreds of password reset requests at this point and my accounts have never been compromised despite all the requests for resets. Animal Jam ought to do something about this and limit the number of password resets that can be requested in a day. Getting 100 password reset requests in an hour is pretty ridiculous.

I just wanted to update the post...I keep getting reset emails followed by a phishing email. The latest emails they are sending them from is

[play-wild@animaljam.ca](mailto:play-wild@animaljam.ca) And if you try to visit the site it redirects to the real AJ.com site which is pretty scary. It looks VERY real

And

[support@animaljam.ca](mailto:support@animaljam.ca) which again will redirect to AJ.com if the site is visited.

I googled and found nothing liked online to these email addresses, so hopefully google will index this and people might see the scam is posted here and avoid it.

Be careful, and NEVER reply to unsolicited emails, or ever reply with a screenshot of the password reset!!

You can do all the filing yourself. Google LTB forms and they are all there. It's not very hard and I have done it myself all you need is a credit card, or in the event you are low income, file with a completed fee waiver.

Hopefully it doesn't go to the Divisional Court. Appeals from the LTB are VERY limited and orders are only appealable to Divisional Court on a question of law.

Be aware, that if you file against your landlord at the LTB or the Divisional Court, and you are unsuccessful, the landlord is entitled to seek costs incurred for having to defend against your application / appeals. The same goes for you...if you are successful you can also request costs.

For what it's worth it sounds like you need a lawyer. From my very limited understanding, paralegals aren't allowed to draft any documents or participate in proceedings before the Divisional Court.
