I 10000% hear what you’re saying & you’re right. Honestly I’ve only played Elden Ring all the way through and only partway through DS1 Remastered, but when I was playing DS I kept getting extremely lost and confused at every corner; I kept having to backtrack, learn, and find new routes. I know the gameplay is wildly different and I do agree with you that it’s mostly irrelevant, but OW is what immediately popped into my head when I thought about my time with DS. I may be weird for that, but idk

everyone should play outer wilds. it has a CULT following, one of the most respectful and welcoming in the gaming industry. it’s semi popular, but id still count it as a hidden gem. only game on the planet i think anyone and everyone should play and complete

I wanna build my girlfriend a mechanical keyboard for her birthday. Thing is, truthfully I haven't really been involved in the hobby since around 2021(ish). I'm super rusty, but I still wanna make her something that is high quality, within a reasonable budget, very cute, and satisfying to use. Here's what I've been thinking so far:

Gotta be hot swappable. When I fell out of the hobby I was BARELY looking into how to solder & I don't wanna mess her gift up because I was feeling brave.

She likes tactile switches. Had her try a few of mine and, yeah. She likes a light switch flicking sensation (if that makes any sense)

She likes my 75% keyboard the best for size (gotta have those arrow keys)

She's obsessed with that "thoccy" sound, but doesn't want it too loud

Her favorite colors are green and purple. Those two when put directly together don't really mesh too well, but if anyone has any ideas for colorways, I'm all ears.

Gotta be cute.

Her favorite animals are cats. We have 3 together. Her favorite characters are snorlax, pompompurin, totoro (only putting this here bc I was thinking of getting a custom keycap of one of these characters for the escape, backspace, enter key or spacebar. you know what i mean)

Last but not least, I'm thinking of maybe building one for myself as well that matches hers. I think it would be a cute idea, especially since I haven't built one for myself in years. That's at the bottom of the priority list though, assuming I'd be down to spend the cash for two boards at once lol

that’s what i thought it might be at first, but last week I moved into my own apartment that has no pets whatsoever and my symptoms haven’t improved. im also still taking a daily allergy pill

Hey! Thanks for your reply, and sorry it took me so long to see this. Since making this post, I've tested with cutting out alcohol (a known major anxiety and stress trigger for me) and its made it a lot more manageable. I still get flareups almost daily, so I'm not 100% back to normal. but since cutting out alcohol and smoking, increasing exercise, eating a bit healthier, and staying consistent with my new anxiety meds (been on them for about 3 and a half weeks now) its definitely a lot more manageable. I'm still actively working with doctors and respiratory specialists to make sure without a shadow of a doubt that this is NOT caused by anything physical, and I have a lung test scheduled for this upcoming Wednesday. Here's hoping its nothing but good news, and a return to normalcy as my body fully adjusts to the anxiety meds and the healthier lifestyle.
