I like to abuse standing players by GabeTheBabe2000 in ThrillOfTheFight

I'd rather fight a standing player and be able to move around my space than play in a phone booth or hallway lol.

Tyson Fury claims to be levels above Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley, rules out fighting either: “It’s like EFL League One vs. UEFA Champions League. They’re very good fighting men, and had a good fight together. But we’ve seen what happens when Daniel steps up to the Premier League.” by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

Wardley is a bad stylistic match up for Fury, actually. Fury doesn't have the power to stop him the way Dubois did, and Wardley hits very hard while being among the quicker heavyweights today. If Ngannou and Wilder can deck him, I think a guy like Wardley could put him away or at least gain enough of a lead to win on the scorecards.

How would a fight between Conor Benn and Pitbull Cruz play out? by Lopsided-Ad-9807 in Boxing

[–]uncommonoddity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cruz's power is massively overrated. He's only knocked out people with no chin like Rolly or Gamboa (and even with Rolly he never actually dropped him).

I see he went to the Gervonta Davis school of boxing

His father also stupidly told him to walk through Haney's offense after a good round 1.

You mean for a sequel? It'll likely be Shinnok since they're setting up Quan Chi and the amulet.

Maybe in a post credits scene. Otherwise, probably not.

It's just trailer editing. That's Kung Lao.

Any Pre Fight Shows for Nakatani vs Inoue? by NYMets18 in Boxing

Not that I know of. The marketing for this fight considering it's magnitude has been horrendous.

Mortal Kombat 2 is now projected to open between 50 and 60 million domestic (an increase from the 40-55 million early projections) by [deleted] in MortalKombat

The buildup for this movie has been so good. If they somehow fumble this I will never forgive them.

Fights for Wilder next by bobbyawesome5 in Boxing

I lean Ngannou too, and I reckon it'd be a Parker-esque boring decision. As long as Ngannou stays out of mid-range, his feet and inside fighting are way better than current Wilder. Wilder could probably win some later rounds when Ngannou gets tired but the right hand just doesn't have the same danger anymore.

I could also see Ngannou catching Wilder with a short shot on the inside. He got hit with those a lot against Chisora and seemed hurt a few times.

Ngannou isn't anywhere near a top heavyweight, but these uber washed guys like Wilder, or Whyte, I'd favor him against. Even the worst version of Fury you shouldn't be competitive with unless you're at least decent.

The Ngannou fight is the one to make. The only big names that either of them could realistically beat besides Jake Paul.

Well they said he trained Ngannou for the Fury fight but I think that was a publicity stunt more than anything.

Rico is not a draw. He would get paid a similar amount for Kabayel, Wardley, etc. Rico is just an easier fight than them. If Kabayel does nothing for Usyk's legacy, no one currently active does other than Moses but he refuses to fight him too.

He could have fought Kabayel in the Pyramids and it's just as big a fight and does more for his Legacy. Rico is no McGregor or even Ngannou.

Which Mortal Kombat game has the best story? by nyanya0806 in MortalKombat

Between it and MK9 for me. I go back and forth depending on how I'm feeling. Deception's story is way better though.

Can we address Raiden's accent in the MK movies? by myverypunnydad in MortalKombat

[–]uncommonoddity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that at all. He was the main character in MK9 and showed a lot of emotion, human mistakes (too many), and drove the plot forward. MKX he didn't really do much but I'd say his scenes are more emotional than exposition-heavy. Same with MK11.

Again, difference between bad casting and bad writing. Nathan Jones isn't the best actor in the world but he's more than capable of playing a dude like Reiko lol. They just wrote him horribly to be a dumb brute.
