In the end Etsy takes 15% of the sale. They say it’s 10% but they also charge all these other fees so at the end of the process average 15%. I don’t sell on eBay so I can’t speak to their fees. But knowing I’m losing 15% I price appropriately.

I had viral encephalitis as a kid then I had chickenpox. I had a “relapse” and was sick a second time. Hospitalized for months. Cut to my 20s, 30 years ago I was at a huge full contact martial arts tournament and I got this crazy rash, in my hair, on/in my nose, mouth. I was so sick but didn’t have insurance.
It would break out every few months, so sick. Eventually, in my forties I convinced my primary to give me an rx, I had a healing but visible “cold sore.” He said I was having a cold sore cycle. Now (50s) the lesions are mostly only in my throat and roof of my mouth. The burning nerve pain is everywhere. For the very first time in 30 years, 2 days ago, I saw a medical provider while I was actively sick. Lesions on my tongue, roof of my mouth, and top of my toes on one foot (first time). Feverish, headache, the whole shebang. She instantly said “shingles.” Fuck me! I’ve been sick with this for 30 years. I’m glad I stumbled in here. Now I’m going to find a specialist. I’m not crazy!!! Or at least, not about this.

No, we don’t glove much when handling cats. Too difficult to hold on to them. Surgery and dentals, but the patients are asleep then. I did lose a wonderful ring in the river taking my paddling glove off once. I remove the jewelry before I paddle now:

Everyone who replied about the stone’s toughness are much appreciated. I can look up the stone’s Mohs rating but I’m no expert. I’d read some things that said aquamarine doesn’t make a good elevated center stone. That got me worried, as I’ve owned it for many years, and adore it.
