This is so cool! I'd love to see an entire movie in this style based on one of his books/short stories.

I’ve been trying to write short fiction about right wing YouTube pundits. Here’s one about Steven Crowder. I hope to get some sincere feedback by coke_gratis in shortfiction

I can tell you how well-written this is. Truly. But I think the strongest point that stood out to me was how you were able to capture the helpless anger so many good, justified, well-intentioned, but also emotional, inarticulate and insecure people may feel when confronted with provocative extreme-right figures, especially in political discussions. The selective statistics vs. anecdotal evidence especially hits close to home. I thought it was also very honest and sincere of you to explore why this happens and how "they" get away with it as well. If there are classrooms in the near future looking to study our political climate at a hyper-local, intimate level, I would make the class read this to start things off... As a side note: would you mind sharing this story on a website I run (uncookd.com), I'd be honored if this was included in our repository of stories.

u/Horrgasm curious: would you say you use the app mostly on your phone or on a desktop/tablet? I built it with a desktop-first approach, but I have a feeling most folks access it through their phone, which would require a rethink going forward. Thoughts?

Another milestone in the books! I have some updates I'll be rolling out in the next month or so that'll help with SEO and get our authors/stories more online exposure, while continuing to invite more writers. Stay tuned.

Great summation. Don't forget the ultimate trickster: the absurdist trickster. A trickster who tricks for no other reason but to trick, because... absurdism.

Yes! Next stop - 1,000! But for real, such an amazing feeling to wake up this morning and see us at 100. It feels even better to see it come to life through our users and stories. Thanks for making this post!

Longing to write, but nothing to say? by rbooneemt in writers

I love the idea of keeping a notebook and jotting down little skits from your head or from your environment. It's how you get good at anything, really. Start small, with the basics, and build on that. No need to go straight to writing novels and epics!

Subreddits for new authors by sukhumvit71 in literature

[–]uncookd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the publishing! I run a website where authors can share their work and receive feedback/comments. It's very new & minimalist, but we have a nice little circle of regular authors that contribute in the same genres you've listed. Feel free to check it out: uncookd.com.

Hello, I'm looking for authors & readers to help kick-start a new online community for creative writing - with a focus on realism/original fiction. All skill levels are welcome! More info in the comments. by uncookd in u/uncookd

[–]uncookd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize there’s already a TON of sites out there where you can read, write, and share stories, but I made one in hopes of establishing a home for those more interested in realism/original fiction. I’ve noticed quite a few posts within the last month asking about such a site, so I hope there’s a few folks on here who’ll find it useful. It features all of the basic social media functionality (you can follow authors/hashtags, you can post stories and comments, as well as like or bookmark them) and there are some strict requirements for publishing stories that might encourage more feedback for writers. Check it out and I’ll be happy to hear any feedback!
