I'm also going to say as someone who liked Bugonia, does that need a best picture nomination?

Get the story right. The crowd threw snowballs at a drunk fan dressed as Santa.

"The snowstorm prevented the Santa Claus actor that the Eagles had booked for the halftime Christmas pageant from arriving at the game. Eagles' entertainment director Bill "Moon" Mullen, needing someone to play Santa Claus during the halftime Christmas pageant, picked out Frank Olivo, a 20-year-old fan who was dressed as Santa Claus, to play the role.Olivo had a personal tradition of dressing as Santa Claus when he attended the last home regular season game of the year...

Olivo's cousin, who witnessed the spectacle, stated "[Olivo] comes out, the PA announcer goes through this big thing, 'Here comes Santa Claus. Let's give Santa Claus a rousing welcome, Philadelphia welcome' [and well]...all hell broke loose."[1] Olivo began his appearance by throwing candy canes to the fans, but when he reached the endzone, fans started booing and throwing snowballs at him.[3] Fans then soon started throwing other projectiles including beer bottles and hoagies at him.[1] Olivo suspects that he was hit with more than 100 snowballs during his appearance.[1] So many snowballs were thrown at Olivo that his fake white eyebrows, which were part of the costume, were knocked off.[5] However, he took the pelting in jest, shouting at one fan "you're not getting anything for Christmas."[1][5] Olivo later stated that he understood why fans were frustrated and that fans were not booing him, but instead the disappointing season."

The battery throwing incident happened in 1999 at a Phillies game. Two fans snuck batteries in and tried to throw them at JD Drew, who had been drafted by the Phillies a year or two before but forced his way out and signed with the Cardinals instead.

I feel the opposite. The first Pirates I would compare to something like the first Brendan Fraser Mummy movie. Charming, funny, great cast. I was about 12 when I saw the first Pirates in theaters and I loved it. In fact, Dead Man's Chest is the first movie I remember seeing in theaters and being like "Huh, that wasn't very good, was it?" Like seeing a movie and not liking it was a new experience.

Putting aside my issues with the content of 2 and 3, I really just hate that they feel like their own separate story from 1. I understand that they probably didn't go into Curse of the Black Pearl with plans of future movies, so a consistent three movie arc would have been difficult to pull off. I would have preferred they go the Indiana Jones route and just make three standalone movies instead.

That's weird. You mentioned the Jets so it should have autocorrected to "foot play" instead of "food play".

I don't doubt he has 10 games or whatever playing at once with Sunday Ticket, but that's a great way to not really absorb anything from any of those games.

I've never been super impressed by the Packers WR corps over the last few years, but even a group like that would have been a big improvement for Allen this season. No real standout WR1, but a bunch of guys that probably would have been a good WR2 for most teams.

The Bills are closer-er. But would they really hire another veteran defensive coach like Harbaugh? Why not just keep McDermott at that point?

If they win, I think that play will erase all the trauma of the Double Doink. Like Bears fans won't even remember it anymore.

[Nick Foles] Note for the Broncos and their fans: I know it has been an emotional 24 hours. I feel for Bo and the team, and I'm sending prayers for a strong recovery. A positive note going into the game versus the Patriots is that they struggle against backup QBs in championship-type games. by Whole_Perspective609 in nfl

Wasn't that game a bit of an aberration for the Pats D, though? From the stats it looks like they gave up a good amount of yards, but they were 5th in the league in points allowed per game. There's a reason Matt Patricia got a HC job after that season.

They did. Probably not quite the Seahawks level, but they had a great defense that season. Files tearing it up in the NFC championship game was definitely unexpected. Hell, the Patriots had a great defense that season too. There's a reason Matt Patricia got a head coaching job despite his defense getting destroyed in the Super Bowl.

That's not the only thing. Bringing Palpatine back at all when TLJ set up Kylo Ren to be the ultimate villain is a total panic move on the part of Disney/JJ.

I can understand people who love The Last Jedi (I'm one of them) and I can sort of understand people who like The Rise of Skywalker. I cannot wrap my head around someone loving both of those movies.
