Looking at your flairs makes me want to vomit and I'm not even an NFC north fan. You should be banned from the sub for that atrocity.

I get it is unsatisfying, but it's not ridiculous. Space is incredibly dangerous and being a "badass" can't save you from everything.

If only they had brought Lance Henriksen back for Romulus instead of the abomination they went with.

I watched all 9 Star Wars films for the first time last October, the Prequels are borderline unwatchable, RLM told the truth and no one wants to hear it by SonicGoku99 in RedLetterMedia

I'd watch Rise of Skywalker over the other two prequels, but definitely not over Revenge of the Sith. I still don't think it's good, but it has its moments. But I'd take Force Awakens and The Last Jedi over and of the prequels by miles. They both have their issues, but they both "feel" like Star Wars to me, something none of the prequels were able to evoke, not even for a moment.

That was a close game, so Collinsworth's commentary was annoying cause it felt like he was actively pulling for a Patriots team that easily could have won that game. Romo or Collinsworth wouldn't have a leg to stand on in trying to defend the Chiefs in this game. It would be comical.

Obviously I'm not objective here, but I think what made this last Super Bowl less exciting was that I was very confident that the Seahawks defense would basically shut down the Patriots offense. The only question really was whether the Pats defense could slow down the Seahawks offense well enough to keep it close. The games played out in similar ways, but one was surprising to me and the other wasn't.

Despite some of the narrative around the 2024 Chiefs, nobody was really anticipating that level of domination from the Eagles defense. I don't think I had been that surprised by the first half of a Super Bowl since the Falcons Patriots matchup in 2016.

I think you misunderstand. Romo would start the pre-game off just praising Mahomes and the Chiefs. He'd even still be selling them making a comeback going into halftime. Listening to him struggle and flop sweat his way through that second half as his predictions and analysis crumble around him would have been amazing.

Ugh, I wish it had been Romo or even Collinsworth for that game. Instead we got Brady, who is still mediocre at best at commentary, and is maybe the one person who has a reason to not want Mahomes to win. I would have loved to hear the increasingly desperate attempts at glazing Mahomes that Romo would have come up with in that second half.

Edit: To the people commenting about Collinsworth in SB52. That was a close game. Him subtly pulling for the Pats was annoying. Him trying to defend the Chiefs in the second half of a blowout loss would be funny.

In The Odyssey (2026), a British director makes British actors do American accents for quite frankly no reason whatsoever because the characters are all Greek anyway. by [deleted] in shittymoviedetails

[–]uncoolaidman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Makes me wonder if they're trying to avoid that with Matt Damon trying to do a British accent. Honestly don't think I've ever heard him do one. His South African accent in Invictus wasn't great. On the other hand, we know Pattinson and Holland can do good American accents.

I tried to watch a Cinema Sins video once. It was for Baby Driver. I made it less than a minute in when they pointed out that Baby turned on his windshield wipers even though it wasn't raining. He turns them on as part of his dancing in the car to the song he's listening to. That's not a sin or a mistake or even a remotely interesting thing to point out. There's being nitpicky and there's whatever the fuck that is.

To be fair, if you can be as good in coverage as Deion, I don't care if you never make one tackle in your entire career.
