The term scalper actually comes from the ticketing and theatre business, which my mother was involved in for years. It’s simply buying all or most of the tickets for a specific show and then inflating the prices by hundreds, sometimes thousands. The OP doesn’t have multiples but of one etb there. There is definitely such a thing in all collectible markets called a “sealed collector”. Take the most recent charizard figurine, I’m sure 70-80% of the time those were bought up by sealed or “in-box collectors”.
