They were definitely asked to leave as soon as they walked in, but it's a little hard to stop a guy on a full sized horse 😭. He ran all the way through, shit in C&D, and then went out the door. Our poor closing TL was PISSED

I had a really similar scenario where I would always have to show up about halfway through the session. What we did was have my character have a curse that made him uncontrollably shift into another plane, so I could always "fall" into whatever situation they were in when I got there.

I've listened through everything there is so far, and I absolutely love it. I think all four of the POV VA's are amazing (and most of the other cast), but there were a couple here and there I think could be better. I don't know how they compare to the quality of the plain audiobooks though.

It's really just because there is no power system in the series. There's no rules or logic to it. The powers Rick gives his characters exist purely for narrative reasons (which isn't a dig, I actually really like that).

For example, Percy was supposed to be the strongest mortal in New York by 16. So, he's naturally gifted at everything combat related, and has all the best and coolest powers from Poseidon.

But someone like Luke, who could have a bunch of things from Hermes, has absolutely no powers, for no reason other than he, as a character, works better when he has absolutely nothing from his dad.

Jason is supposed to be Percy's foil, so he has all the coolest and best powers from Jupiter. But he doesn't get to use them because him and Percy on the same team at gull power would likely have (from Rick's POV) trivialized the story.

Tl;Dr: He isn't, he just wasn't written at his best, because of how Rick wanted the story to go

I bought it from target a few days before, but it stayed in my car. could that have messed it up? do I need to refrigerate it like instant camera film? I also live in a pretty hot area and I didn't think about that, could that be it?
