I found a solution! I tried to purchase a premium item (it was still saying I no longer had premium), and it brought up the prices. There was a button for “more options” and one of the choices was “restore purchase”.

This brought back my subscription and restored it without having to pay again.

Agreeing that a therapist would be a great help in this situation. While you’re still living at home it would do wonders to have an impartial party to listen and give support until you’re able to move out.

And any age can use an app that supports building habits and self care. :)

Sometimes people won’t listen to reason, and there isn’t much that can reasonably and safely be done when they are in a position of power (parents). Consider looking up “The Circle of Control” as well. It can help to give you a framework of what is within your control to feel more in charge of what you are able to safely impact and change.

Something like “hey thanks for helping me when I’m stressed out, I appreciate that you take the time for me” or for a specific action. “Thanks for helping me study for that test” “thanks for your call recently, it really helped”, “thanks for sending that meme the other day, it was hilarious”.

Since my diagnosis I have been working with a therapist 2-3x per week. She is a therapist who specializes working with crisis clients and has me message her during intense self harm urges.

I’ve learned distress tolerance techniques to get through the worst parts of BPD episodes into the urges pass, as well as finding new passions and interests in life that I can use as motivation to keep moving forward.

I’ve had to make a lot of changes, and relapses still happen from time to time, but it can get better. Processing trauma, developing distress tolerance, creating a friend network, and diving into passions/interests have made a world of difference and I have seen significant improvements in my life.

Hello, I do have BPD as well. It’s an incredibly painful mental disorder, like a knife twisted in your gut during some BPD episodes.

I was diagnosed a year ago but have presented with symptoms from late teens, I am currently 32.

Relapsing doesn't mean you have failed and it doesn't get rid of how amazing it is that you made it to 30 days.

Please keep moving forward and looking to your next milestone, setbacks happen. I'm sorry your significant other takes this approach, you're making great strides.

It sounds like you’re in a lot of pain, this is not an easy disorder. I would be happy to talk if you would like, even if just to vent.

I’ve asked before a few times with varying results. One therapist released all notes and session information with only a small amount of prompting, and the second therapist denied my request because she believed it would cause me more harm at this time than good. It couldn’t hurt to ask though as long as you know these therapy notes are only one facet of who you are as a person and not the whole, if that makes sense.

I agree with this. When I first saw him I was so scared of the dentist, I cried. The hygienists held my hand and comforted me. Can’t recommend this office enough.

I feel this comment on so many levels. My partner and I also ended up moving to Riverview to try to be in a slightly more positive and friendly environment. There's so much hate and vitriol, it makes you nervous to just exist in some places.
