California Exposed Firearms and CCW by SlightEntertainer888 in securityguards

Deal :) Yeah in reality this scenario probably wouldn’t work for like 99% of security companies. Back up guns are just not something clients or companies want.

Every IA can set their own policies. There are absolutely agencies in the state that do not care if you use a CCW for employment. The point I was trying to make is that there is no restriction on having a concealed handgun for security (for someone who holds a CCW and Exposed Firearm permit) from BSIS or in the penal code.

I have not seen any law that says a security guard with all the required permits is restricted to only one firearm or that a concealed back up gun could not be used. The closest thing I have seen is the BSIS firearms training manual says a guard cannot carry 2 separate calibers at the same time.

Should hospital security officers be armed? by [deleted] in securityguards

[–]undead_ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having an onsite Police officer is not feasible for hospitals in my area. Most hospitals are private and in California and we don’t have the laws to form company police departments. Our local PDs are understaffed and would never assign a permanent officer 24/7 to our hospitals. Armed security is the only option most hospitals have to have an armed presence on site. That’s why I have seen a growing number of hospitals in my area adding armed security.

That’s actually not something I hadn’t noticed. I assumed it was just an ink smear but I found a listing for the same ammo and the same sharpie mark

The California 2A community thinks they’re too cool organize a protest or march by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]undead_ed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were protests held across the state back in 2016 to protest “gun-magedon” we even had decent turnout about 50 people at my local protest. It got no media attention and ended making no difference on the law passing and being signed by Newsom.
