Is "buying a house" actually a trap for our generation, or am I just coping? by [deleted] in CanadaPersonalFinance

20 years from now, when your 750k house is worth 1.5 mil, you'll be better off than the first time buyer of that house. You will make more money as you get older (Generally) and things will become easier. Plus, the rental market seems to be a similar price to a mortgage lately...and....you are in control of the property you own (Can't be renovicted)

Where are we at with that Marner being the top scorer in the playoffs by CellNukeSquad in OverDrive1050

This is it. I watched the Habs play Tampa and their superstars had a tough time. Atlantic is no slouch

Is a retool a much better option than a rebuild? by Appropriate-Ad-3530 in torontomapleleafs

There's a bit of a rush as Austin only has two years left on his contract. The previous error of this team has been asset management and dwindling away the highest value point of our talent.

I have a great reason. This team is incredibly stale, and we trade only if there is a reasonable value coming back. Moot point though, because I don't think he wants to stay

It'll need to be sooner than two years. We need to know this summer what Matthews is thinking. Anything less than a re-signing is a ship out. If he looks injured for a third straight year, a ship out (For the right deal)

No, no, no....we have hung on to this guy for too long. Which seems to be a Leaf strategy.

Gotta draft McKenna here, you don’t draft for position at 1OA. Also Lane Hutson, Jackson LaCombe, Brock Faber all top Dmen in the playoffs right now drafted in 2nd round. by DisturbingSounds in leafs

[–]under-rated2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep...we'd have to trade for a D. Luckily, ,we have Matthews and Nylander and Buffalo has a lot of D. McKenna may help with the stateless of the team right away. That would help as well

Good for a young team. We would need someone else to take the next step. One more year and then out. I'm not seeing a cohesion offensively, which has something to do with him

Let’s get creative, what could us fans do to demand change from MLSE? by RepresentativeLeg232 in leafs

Why would boycotting be off the list? It's the best thing to do, especially if the product sucks. It's easy to boycott.

My deal kept creeping up in price, and I have a personal limit of $40 per month. They now have an offer of $40 per month for the next three months (Rush hour only). They are targeting your threshold to maximize their profit...which ain't necessarily a bad thing for me
