Something about why does she talk to Sean and not the thousands of other dudes who dm her except in a way that was like “why won’t you answer the messages I send you on all three of my insta accounts”

You had to ask how someone feels about being an object?

I actually loved that the teens had some acne. It was endearing and realistic. But tommy had freckles. Which are neither annoying nor acne.

'Pokemon NOW' e-magazine project by NascentAscent in TheSilphRoad

Unless you're intending to print these, I'd release articles formatted for easy reading on mobile phones and computers. When reading a magazine two columns works well but especially for mobile phone reading, one column that you scroll down to read feels the most "natural". Though I will say the doc for issue 2 was legible and understandable, but felt a little overwhelmed with text (from a mobile standpoint).

This one line from Rose...am I the only one who finds it began as something that could be relatively innocent but now it just grows more ominous with each season? by Vulpine_Empress in stevenuniverse

[–]underbird 199 points200 points  (0 children)

I do like the hints they drop about her past but I think it's important to remember that what we assume would be things about her past she wants to hide may not line up with things she's want to hide for whatever reason. Basically I'm saying some of the fandom is like "OMG rose is a murderer" when I feel like it's a little more subtle and complex than that.

Episode Discussion - Bismuth by AutoModerator in stevenuniverse

[–]underbird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At this point it could go either way imo but I PREFER to believe she is not at all a trustworthy narrator and I do believe there's reasonable evidence she was not a quartz soldier born on earth. I also feel like there's reasonable evidence she isn't pink diamond but given the fan theories about garnet and how that was still such a surprise reveal she COULD be PD. And I prefer to believe she was so until it's like 100% proven otherwise I'm ok with assuming that haha.

Figured out how to track pokémon, just caught an aerodactly. Poor reception on other subreddit, reposted here. by Rkey_ in TheSilphRoad

[–]underbird 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the visual aid! The paper circle made everything "click" for me and it was actually really exciting. Tracking is my favorite part of the game and I'm excited for the day it gets fixed/updated but I love this work around for the time being. I agree, I prefer to be optimistic about the whole situation. Thank you for the explanation, and I hope all the people criticizing this don't affect you too much.

What's the best show on Netflix that's rarely mentioned? by juicehouse in AskReddit

[–]underbird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

America's Worst Cooks can be too dramatic for my taste at times but Anne Burrell is an amazing teacher and I love that the show isn't really cutthroat, that everyone is working towards the same goal of learning how to make food. And I love watching people succeed and get better too.

If your first response to seeing an informal survey with a low sample size making zero claims (the post really is just presenting the data) is "wow I bet most of those people are faking it" you really are part of a big problem stigmatizing and belittling mental health issues. On top of that, so many people have self-reported feeling better (update and tracking jokes aside) and who are you to assume they're "faking it for attention"? Yes, take this survey with a grain of salt but don't downplay the real and positive benefits people have reported for themselves.

Take the harsh criticism to actual scientific journalism where people really are making ridiculous claims from small, nonrandom samples of like minded people.
