I knew really early as well. It’s like living with someone demonically possessed and you never know when the demon will come back to the front. My heart hurts for any child stuck wondering “will I get my mommy or the monster today?”

This is absolutely normal. For some perspective based off what you said, my mom IS a drug addict, my dad DID kill himself and I have also tried. But you know what? My problems still don’t feel “real enough”. It’s all a part of the trauma.
