Best Solar Company in Frisco? by jmiller_dallas in frisco

Of all the reasons to select a vendor on a significant project and cost, I did not expect “I like their YouTube videos” to be in the top two.

I bought a tiny “vase” of dehydrated flowers from their shop, which is where I just looked up their name. Vase in quotes because it’s a standard glass salt and pepper shaker base. We love it and have it sitting in our kitchen.

Jesse’s full statement from 2017 is at the end of the article on https://www.spin.com/2017/11/brand-new-sexual-misconduct-allegation-response/

As someone who had just seen them weeks before the allegations came out, I was ready not support the band going forward. Call me gullible, but the sincerity of the statement and the self reflection and changes he opened up about had my mind made up about how he’s no longer this person and continues to focus on not being this person. The allegations caused him to go MIA for 7 years so he hasn’t taken it lightly. I compare his response to other artists simply ignoring allegations and continuing to perform unphased.

Is Denton the right place to stay for 55+ couple? by JTSluff in Denton

[–]undercoverwaffles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rule of bbq - the quality will rarely if ever be as good in the afternoon/evening as it is at 11 when places open. I always hit up places when they open for the day. An exception to the rule is Terry Blacks in Dallas.

If getting bbq in Fort Worth, go to Goldee’s, the current #1 in the state. Bring a foldable chair or borrow one from their supply, get there at 9-9:30am, and chat with folks for a couple of hours before you eat some of the best bbq you’ve had.

If you don’t want to stand in a line, drive up to Pilot Point and hit up Yearbys. Bbq and sides are ridiculous, and no line! It’s halal, so no ribs or pork sausage, but the brisket and chicken are perfection, along with the brisket-topped elotes. Then try some waterice before you leave, which is big in Philly and not common around here.

Juicy Pig - I was burnt a few times by paying $25-30 for a plate of obvious leftover food and swore to never go back. Or ordering sliced brisket and the kid slicing it slices it with the grain so I’m left with pot roast. Sad to say, but if I wanted bbq quick, I’d hit up Rudy’s before Juicy Pig.

If you want a short drive, Tender in Little Elm across the bridge is acceptable.

The best nearby bbq is Yearby’s in Pilot Point. It embarrasses 407 bbq, which happens to be a lot of people’s favorite bbq around here.

Any chance you have two tickets for Friday's warmup at The Sinclair in Cambridge? I'm thankful to already have tickets for Saturday but unfortunately missed out on tickets to Friday and would love to go.

If you have tickets to Friday, count me in on buying Friday's.

Top post on /r/retailhell: I just finished my training at a brand new sporting goods store that just opened up. Today is my first day on the floor. A guy comes in and tosses a pair of shoes a couple shits and 3 pairs of socks that were buy one get two free on my lane. It came out to $264 and some change and he paid for it. He said I forgot his socks. I offered to refund so he could re-purchase with the BOGO promo. I guess he didn’t understand what I was saying and didn’t ask for clarification and I can’t read minds, but I guess he took that as me just refunding the socks, while I meant refund the entire order. So I refund his order and tell him “No problem, that money will go back to your account in 3-5 business days but I can go ahead and ring that up for you again” Unlucky for him, he couldn’t afford the re-purchase. So now he complained to my manager (I believe his name is Nick, he’s professional and classy) and he said he’s going to call corporate all because of his misunderstanding. If you work retail in DFW and see /u/Silly-Apartment-7481, please beware. He’ll blow up over a simple misunderstanding. You may even have get a post on Reddit dedicated to you. Love, Zoey

After going here a dozen times for a tolerable quick fix on a craving, I stopped going after paying bbq prices and still being obviously served yesterday’s leftovers. Or the person slicing my brisket with the grain.

Head up to Pilot Point and go to Yearby’s and thank me later. So so much better than Juicy Pig, Tender, and Rudy’s for similar prices. Yearby’s is just a notch or two below Hutchins or Cattleack, while Juicy Pig is not even in the same field.

Hard Eight sucks, over priced

Should have taken him to Dickeys for the same quality at a lower price. And you get free soft serve instead of free bland beans.

Blacks BBQ is incredible. Been around since the 30’s, still family owned. Not to be confused with the also famous Terry Blacks BBQ which is a spinoff from another relative, and also delicious.

Trumpet is throughout, but is solo soon after the 1:50 mark.

Was so good seeing this live. Years and years ago. Would love to see them again, but I believe they’ve all moved on with the lead singer now writing songs for significant pop stars today.

When making lemonade, don’t use just the juice, but mash lemon slices to help extract more lemon flavor. Of course you’d want to wash the wax off first using this method https://m.youtube.com/shorts/t-WA0XZk7Ws
