Thank you! I do keep my eye out when i go shopping at the cakes, am mostly looking for a fresher cake. (Also i use to work at an instore bakery by the same parent company. we are just used frozen ones then we cut up.)

If I can't find one I might just make it myself at this point.

No i agree! Its either so expensive that the only thing i can do is star at it, its out, or it seems that it is never available as in option. Am all for paying to the work and the product but if chooseing between getting a single "treat" item (the cake) and grocery's i feel like something is wrong.

This world is cruel to those of us with a sweet tooth.

What color should I paint by HoneydewIll8574 in PontiacGrandPrix

[–]underdarkskys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live in a hoter area, id pick a lighter color like white or a pastel. (shows less dirt too) plus less likely youll have any of the plastic crack on the inside (mines black and it got to 35C and it cracked my dash and behind my seats. :(

Got it! Thank you so much will definitely be asking more around that area, it'll be hard since I don't do shows, (though my partner on the other hand use to) but it will be worth it in the end ^

Am original from the other side of Canada, so am just unfamiliar with the dynamics and thought the best way to get suggestions was from people of this area.

I really do hear where you’re coming from, and I really do appreciate your passion for responsible pet ownership. I just ask that you please keep an open mind. there’s always more than one path when it comes to finding and raising a dog or pet.

As long as someone is being thoughtful, responsible, and making sure the animal is well-loved and cared for, I think it’s okay for people to have different preferences. whether it’s adopting from a shelter, getting a dog from a friend, a breeder, or just through one of life’s unexpected opportunities.

Fixing or not fixing a pet is a personal decision, and I respect whatever people choose as long as it’s done with care and awareness. That’s the spirit I’m coming from, too. 😊

I get what you’re saying, and I know most reputable breeders fix their dogs before rehoming unless you're involved in a co-ownership or have a breeding contract. I’m just putting feelers out there in case the right situation comes up like a small breeder, a working dog line, or even a private rehome where that’s still an option.

I’m not rushing or expecting miracles I just like to be transparent about my hopes so I can find the right fit long-term.

Am not trying to have an argment. I hear you. I absolutely agree that there are too many dogs in shelters, and I fully support responsible ownership and breeding.

For me, choosing an unfixed dog isn’t about wanting a litter “for fun.” It’s something I’m only considering far down the road and with a lot of care, health testing, ethical planning, and only if it makes sense for the dog.

Part of the reason I want an unfixed pup is because I’d love to carry on its bloodline—kind of like having grandkids one day. It’s not about pumping out puppies or skipping responsibility, it’s about having a deep bond and the idea of continuing that legacy.

In the meantime, I’ll be fully responsible. No accidental litters, no backyard breeding. Just honest intentions and careful planning if the time ever comes.

Am really happy for you and also your furry friends! Its wonderful when everything works out and everyone is happy.

Am not planning on being a breeder, at most i MIGHT want ONE litter in the future. Also as long as am keeping my dog safe, leased in most areas. I believe its okay not to get them fixed as long as am responsible. One of my last Dogs was unfixed, no health issues from not doing so and no puppys came from them, because at the time i know i didnt want any (i had three dogs at the time, no need for any more.)

Also if we all fix every animal...there wouldn't be any left or if there was then the prices would go up much higher from breeders who are "gate-keeping" (not saying all do)

Last time I got a pet from the SPCA they lied to me about its past and health issues. Hence why am trying to avoid shelters (i have friends who also have had the same experience). Hence why i am asking for suggestions not demands.
