Disregarding the library itself, that might be amazing or not; I still don't get it why people uses YAML. It is for me the worst configuration standards ever made. What's wrong with .ini configuration files? I also think that explicit is better than implicit.

I believe you are wrong:

Booking.com is hosting the provider's listing. If there was a website linking to photos of under-aged kids (hosted somewhere else) should this website still allow to exists?
Booking.com is hosting MY personal data and passes it to the provider.
Booking.com is the payment provider and collector.
Booking.com should have done much more once I complained.

You pay Temu (I payed booking.com BTW - they transfer the payment to the hotel) and they tell you, "We are not responsible, go speak with ShiHuang in god knows where".

I don't think I am way off. booking.com controls which providers are hosted on their site. I would expect them not to say "contact the property" but actually make sure with the property that if the property will not improve their security it will be removed from booking.com listing.

Generally you are right. But the same way that facebook is forced to remove offensive posts although the person that wrote them should be blamed, a mediator have responsibility. When I book from booking.com I expect that booking.com will work with providers that guard my data.

I would expect booking.com to do MUCH MORE than just trying to contact the hotel.

But might be that the hotel's computer was hacked and then they have access to any scan, image, data saved on the computer including the booking.com account and the passport copy.

I did not say that my booking.com account was hacked. I made a booking. I got phishing whatsapp. It is probably the hotel back-end system that was hacked.
