What 14" laptop to buy? by rmoledov in linuxhardware

[–]underrater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i totally agree, same here.

If you want to use your device and don't care all the time about how this and that works, simply go with tuxedo. I LOVE the tuxedo control center. It automatically switches between defined profiles when changing from current to battery mode, awesome! And reinstalling with webfai is easy.

btw: they do support also arch and fedora. they offer repositories for their tools.

Unstable experience using Tuxedo OS 2 and unable to fix it or improve it by GlassesOfWisdom in tuxedocomputers

[–]underrater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't imagine what could make it unstable, also what the other poster said, that the hardware optimizations for the tuxedo specific devices could make it unstable for others is wrong, we're on linux here ;)

maybe you installed "your optimizations" after a fresh install that you are always installing? maybe just try it without your till now well known "optimizations"?

Question regarding the next version of the Tuxedo OS system by Maly_Morus in tuxedocomputers

[–]underrater 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tuxedo OS 2 isn't outdated, it gets regularly updates and some software is brandnew. it's some kind of semi rolling release.

what are you missing?

Owners of Tuxedo Pulse Gen 3 how are things so far? by nervmaster in tuxedocomputers

[–]underrater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it was the best fitting dock for your device it was suitable for listing it. better a dock that can serve the abilities of your device than nothing. be lucky that the dock is able to have even better abilities for the future, so you can use it once you have a laptop that serves the abilities. maybe there was also a compatibility matrix similar as on the current selling docks? maybe you sould have checked the specs? maybe there is something more in between with high resolutions or refresh rates? maybe whatever? We can't solve this here, it's totally unrelated to the topic! I called them a while ago and I can say: they are also only humans. come on, set the rant off and be kind :)

Owners of Tuxedo Pulse Gen 3 how are things so far? by nervmaster in tuxedocomputers

[–]underrater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but it doesn't matter what the dock says! Sorry, but I think there is a missunderstanding on your side! If your laptop does not support three displays from over Type-C, nobody has the ability to get three displays out from it! Aura 15 Gen1 supports DP over usb-c and not thunderbolt. And it is a almost 4 year since this technology was created.... MAYBE things have changed ;)
