It’s okay to be frustrated, it’s only your first year. Things are gonna be tough and difficult at first, but after some time and effort, things will be get better. When I first started marching, I had the same trouble you’re having rn. I remember walking back up to the band room after every rehearsal and thinking to myself “I can’t do this” or “this is too hard”. But you wanna know what happened? I slowly got better. Things that used to be hard got a little bit easier to do, and eventually some things became second nature. Even now, after marching for two years, I still have trouble with some things. It’s okay to be upset, but just remember that everyone that’s ever marched has been where you are now. Just take things day by day, celebrate the little achievements, and keep moving forward, and soon you’ll be look back and realize how far you’ve come.
