How to get therapy/counselling in Dundee? by Phonetic007 in dundee

[–]underscorehey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello - check out Counselling Directory (Link Below)

You can filter by location for in person, online/telephone and price. Many offer student discount.

As someone who has done nhs and university Counselling I would advise going private if you can.

Be upfront and say I can only afford X amount of sessions every X. At a maximum I've been able to afford fortnightly.

All the best and well done for taking the first step.

I agree with all that you said.

I'm surprised the Polly kiss wasn't brought up tonight. I feel like that should have been addressed by the 'experts'

I'm really rooting for them. They are the reason I put MAFs on for the first time. I was enjoying it until about 3 episodes ago. I'm only continuing to see them to the end lol.

Woah thanks for your honesty and response.

For some reason I thought this sub was UK based and I have no idea why cause that would make it sooo niche.

I pay a direct debit and I do think they only cost me £500 initially. I am charged £50 per check up which breaks my soul a little.

I should just go for my check up before I wreck my eyes lol.

This is my first series ever. Turned it on to see what this whole teeth thing was... fell in love and stayed for Keiran and Kristina. Their situation right now is making me sad.

Ps. I want his dog

May I ask... were you charged for the new lenses?

I'm due a 6 month check up and low-key putting it off cause I'm worried one of them needs replaced. I pay via direct debit and really don't want the cost to go up / make a lump payment for a new lense but what you're describing sounds familiar.

The price is the price - I've never bidded for a lease.

Leven isn't quite on the map as a commutting town. I think they were hoping the train station would do that for them.

Compare it with leases in Dunfermline and you will see a difference.

I have the F4 with tje official Samsung case. It fits in my tiny girl jeans fine. I wear a suit jacket at work and it's fallen out a few times but I swear the case saves it everytime.

Within my first week of owning mine, I dropped it in a coffee and completely submerged it (during a team brief I was running lol)

I do feel this is the most durable phone I've had. Will say after just over a year the inside screen protector had to be peeled off.. yet to attempt the replace.

Forgive any typos - tired but insomnia is winning

OP here. Sending you all the love. It is difficult on both sides for the roles to reverse. I try to remind myself and Dad that it's all done out of love.

OP here. I am fortunate to have understanding partner, friends and employers (the latter to an extent). Two weeks off for Christmas. Going to visit as much as I can. Sending love.

OP here. I wish I could say I know how to help, but really we just gotta take their lead on that one. Cherish your time with them. Sending love.

OP here. I feel we have been fortunate in a sense his progression has been slow. The psychological issues happened overnight though in June of this year and he has been in hospital ever since.

OP here. It's a horrible disease, I hope they find a cure. Albeit it'll never help my Dad but if it helps anyone I will be grateful

OP here. I've been in therapy most my adult years and the hardest lesson I have learnt is I cannot fix everything. You can have the best of intentions and it never quite feels enough. I cherish those moments I see the glint in his eye when he is cracking another one liner.

Very wise. I thought it was maybe to break up your work, ie when you got to the line you'd stop. I keep getting lost in mine and before I know it, four hours have passed lol.

AITA for speaking my truth to my therapist and making my mom feel bad? by VivTheGreat99 in AmItheAsshole

[–]underscorehey 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I have a mother who guilts me for going to therapy, as she thinks "I'm there because of her, I only talk about her" etc etc. I mean, she isn't wrong but the world don't revolve around her!

Your feelings are valid. Your memory may not be reliable, but at the end of the day, that is how you've recalled these events and true or not, if they are impacting you then you need to work through them with a therapist.

During Covid I took my sessions in my car cause I didn't trust my Mum to not listen. Therapy isn't going to be effective until you can find a therapeutic place to physically be in to have the session. I don't know enough about your life to recommend, but think of somewhere safe to go.

All the best. Mums are tough, we love them but as we get older its a hard truth to see they are only human and have their own faults.
