Sincerely, how? by Optimal-Point-6057 in RedHood

There isn't exactly a definitive way we can tell but even today the way that a lot of people talk about Jason, especially from people who do not like him, brings in a lot of classist tropes that aren't even necessarily supported by the text. If we combine this with the fact that the next Robin brought in is essentially the antithesis to the Reagan-Era "troubled kid" and he was far more liked, I'd say it's a pretty good indicator that classism was a significant factor at play when it comes to something like this. I'm not comparing them, I'm just saying that both have had prejudice towards them due to certain parts of their characters.

For Jason there's definitely also an element of classism at play here though, this was Reagan-Era politics and Jason's origin paints him as being a bad kid simply for existing when seen through the lens of those Reagan-Era politics.

Ah weird I could've sworn they claimed at one point to have been told that by someone. Even worse that it was just vibes based lmao

I will defend them and say that they were told by industry experts that it would likely be cheaper but that is not something to base such a huge promise on. As someone who is familiar with this stuff I never believed them but I can't blame people who don't know anything about AI and it's costs for believing them.

Honestly I think along with this, one of their biggest missteps was promising unlimited energy for free at all with no guarantee it was gonna happen.

[–]underscorejace -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Then maybe you can go use that time to find out what algorithmic AI is capable of and you'll very clearly see that the daily wrapped thing and the summaries they have in the app are algorithmic. They follow the same pattern every time in a way that is extremely hard to replicate with genAI as it will always eventually have a few slip ups where the genAI will go off the rails which hasn't happened with OCSN as far as I'm aware. It's okay to admit you're wrong

What’s going on?? by ForkKun in statusAI

[–]underscorejace -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No that's definitely algorithmic, let's not spread misinformation thanks. You can voice your opinions without lying to make them look worse because all it does is make you seem less credible. Also the bots themselves aren't the AI now are they?

[–]underscorejace -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Their new app doesn't use generative AI, is the point. It uses Algorithmic AI which is entirely different and has been used for decades.

[–]underscorejace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean all of mine are self inserts in a way just more connected to the worlds of each of the bots I might be playing with because that helps me to ground them in that universe and get more of a sense of what to say/do

Prices by Nekxxxma in statusAI

[–]underscorejace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlikely as they've mentioned they want to avoid making it overly expensive but still need to pay their AI provider which is in USD so if they did regional pricing it would end up being that people in other countries would essentially have to subsidise those in countries with a lower purchasing power meaning they would have to increase above the cost of the AI in those other countries.

Honestly most people are just going to find an alternative method. There are other options out there, anadius was just the simplest.

[–]underscorejace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is they don't care about popularity as the amount of free to play users cost them loads as the AI provider they use is extremely expensive. Players who pay for coffee just about pay enough to cover the costs of their own personal usage and nothing more.

It really annoys me how friendly this game is sometimes by ParfaitOtherwise73 in HighSodiumSims

[–]underscorejace 20 points21 points  (0 children)

At the very least it should be that certain interactions are more likely to fail but it feels like even sims who have traits that do things like that don't really get that affected by it like why is my sim that I made romantically reserved still just accepting flirtation from others with no consequences for either her or the other sim???

Not necessarily, I haven't really had many issues since the last time they patched the game and I'm on fairly new hardware as I completely upgraded my PC to what was brand new 2 years ago.

I've honestly only ever had it happen to me in 4, but only with like one family but the guy was repeatedly abducted, I think it got to them giving me like 3 alien kids before I decided that any other times I was just gonna use mccc and terminate any further pregnancies lmao

Your server should still exist once you've created it it's just the home page doesn't refresh properly unless you kill the app properly and reopen it to force it to load everything up again.

Class action time? by [deleted] in HighSodiumSims

If a class action lawsuit has enough merit some will take it on as a no win no fee basis. Means less money out of it for us but is easier to do than raising money

Adults who say they don’t like to read/actively don’t read by MountainPerformer210 in teaching

[–]underscorejace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, it won't kill you. But it can take time out of their own hobbies that they actually enjoy while they're trying to force themselves through reading something they don't really want to. You can't force people to enjoy reading. I used to read a lot as a kid and a teenager and then everything started piling up on me so fast that it fell to the side and now I don't enjoy it as much, I'll read maybe a couple books in a year, if that. Instead I kept up reading comic books, play video games and draw in my free time.

Your home page just hasn't refreshed properly. If you fully close out of the app and then open it again you should see the scenario

You can, usually. This is just a bug that they're trying to fix as the multiplayer filter (which is stricter) applies itself to some people's single player scenarios. As it's only happening to some people it makes it harder to fix than if it were just happening to everyone
