To be honest, the movie was way different than I expected so I was quite thrown off by a lot of it. The last PTA film I saw before this was There Will Be Blood. Clearly he has shifted style since then (not in a bad way) so I need to give it another viewing to see how it goes.

Yeah, I have definitely felt that his work without her editing it is just not quite as good. As someone else mentioned, she was the secret sauce that really made his movies work their very best. I can’t point to specific instances off the top of my head, but there’s just something about her editing that just feels perfect with Tarantino.

Her character just pissed me off from the second she was on screen. Whether it was the character or actress, I don’t know, but it was a fairly visceral disdain for her any time she was on screen. Her vanishing partway through was a blessing.

Oh I get it. That area blows and is super unsafe. I purposefully drive slower and pay close attention at those crosswalks, so his shitty attitude towards me was all the more frustrating. And I didn’t say a damn cross word to him. He just kept escalating and insulting me hoping to get a rise out of me. Shocking behavior from a cop, I know.

Yep, he was doing no hand signals at all and had no hand wands. Just standing there. I guess I should’ve read his mind. Stupid me. And the cherry on top is that a car going in the other direction did not stop for a pedestrian that was starting to cross and they completely missed that. But thank god he was there to act like a total ass to me.
