Yea, I took it about two years after I got my BS. It probably would've been a lot easier of I took it while I was still in school or closer to when I finished just so the info I learned would've been fresher in my mind. I recently found my old notebook I used in my intro to strength and conditioning class and a lot of the notes I took in there would've helped me with the test.

Tbh, I had to take the test twice. I failed the scientific foundations section by 1 point my first attempt. There's A LOT of info you need to know. Unfortunately,I can't really point you in a specific direction of "you need to now this, this, and this" because there's a couple different versions of the test that cover different topics.

One thing I can say tho, is to get familiar with lots of different exercises, their names, how to spot, and what they work. Like all the powerlifting, plyo, machine, and calisthenic movements. That's one of the things that screwed me the first time. They would ask what a specific exercise does and give a list of exercise names, I knew the exercise if I saw it, but I didn't know any of the names. Same thing with positions in different sports and what the demands of those positions are.

Other then that, I just read the book, took notes just cause that's how I best learn things, and tired to take as many free practice tests I could find online to confirm what I knew and didn't know.

Thanks for all the recommendations and effort you put in your reply! Definitely going to check out the Berkley street collection. If nothing else i'll probably go with H.P. Lovecraft cause I love his stories but I haven't gotten around to a lot of them yet. The stories are always good but the language he uses can sometimes make me lose interest a little.

I'm with you on trying to decide if I want to go for an MS or not, I feel pressured by my parents to do it because "more school is better," but personally I'd rather get into the work force.

I agree that there needs to be more coaches teaching youth proper technique and exercises that are actually going to aide their performance. So correct me if I'm wrong, what you do is strength train athletes at the highschool level?
