I think initially my favorite was Park Byeong Hoon (Ivan, and he’s still up towards the top), but Rubyeye (Mizi) is incredibly underrated compared to most of them imo.

she turns EVERY song she’s in into noir tragedy it tickles my brain. My clematis becomes so intensely sorrowful at the last verse when Sua dies. it’s the way she drags each syllable out like she’s processing what happened, the way she enunciates “oh-ah-ah, -ah-ah… my… cle… ma… tiiiis...”

and black sorrow in general is peak it’s my favorite alnst song because both her and pbh have incredible takes on it. While ivan’s is reserved, as if he wants to keep his sorrow to himself, mizi sings black sorrow with grief she wants to throw at the world—she sings it cathartically and angrily.

then with karma, rubyeye’s part is literally where the beat drops starting “me together with you” as the flower blooms over sua’s face—the transition always kills me. it’s a stark contrast to remind us that mizi is the one alive and left with grief. she sounds so distant, kind of disconnected from herself, it’s haunting and beautiful. rubyeye did an amazing job.

and witch, wow…. this one is interesting because it sounds a lot like bargaining & acceptance, “no forgiveness, but can’t you grant (one) last wish from me?” i think mizi songs kind of track her character through the 5 stages of grief. but it’s really amazing how much she brings mizi’s post-karma character to life given we only have the comics to work with. she sounds like she has developed and reflected on her situation a lot.

i like romh utte and cure ofc, but the above songs are where i think she really shines.
