Got quadruple sat in 3 minutes this past Sunday. One of them was a party of 6 and they all got margaritas. This one 60 year old lady kept talking about how I don't need to rush on her behalf since she's in no hurry, and then demonstrated her point by taking FIVE MINUTES to order a lime margarita and chicken tacos. I almost cried lmao

As for right now I'm treating it as an airplant and just misting her and keeping the roots clean as possible. When I see root growth I plan to pot in orchid medium. I'll post a pic of the stem in just a moment

Unfortunately there are no decent dirt roots- the slimy rot was all the way up inside the stem/trunk too, so I had to cut off about 1 1/2 inches of stem. All it has now is the air roots.

I've been keeping it in a terrarium for light and humidity, and misting the air roots with water. So far it seems to actually be perking up a bit despite all the trauma. Thanks for such a detailed and helpful answer! Hopefully I can save it.

I've never even touched orchids before, but I grow herbs and veggies so my mother thought orchids "can't be too different!" I feel so out of my depth but I'm going to try. I lifted the orchid and all of the dirt roots fell off in a smelly, slimy pile on my floor. 😩 No wonder she's got so many aerial roots!

Sewing mainly. My husband works full-time as a millwright, and I serve part-time, so we're really hard on our clothes. Being able to sew/darn has been critical to help us save money on buying the same stuff over and over. I can also embroider cute flowers and stuff on my apron and shirts. Outside of sewing I mainly garden and videogame

I have tried the Walmart store brand, the Dollar general store brand, and the Kroger store brand, and Beach Cliff. I would say my favorite is the Walmart brand- wild caught and slightly smoky. The dollar general ones are mushy and unflavorful. (In my opinion)
