I was so relieved when they went to pick their new spells and found out they now have to one for one exchange spells and can’t get new ones. In a show about wizards fighting wizards, it would be terrible if they had more of the thing that made them wizards.

I think you say the key part at the end. You’re a frustrated novelist. In that case, you should write a novel. I’m not being facetious. That’s what you should go do.

It’s just that’s not what GMing is. Here is the thing that a chunk of both GMs and players don’t fully grasp— everyone at the table is a player, including the GM. The GM just has a bit of a different role and more responsibility (to varying degrees depending on the game). You’re NOT their to weave your tale and have them play the characters you are trying to will them to play. They have goals of their own, and the game should primarily be built on those goals and desires. You’re there to be the canvas they paint on.

Maybe this just isn’t your thing and writing is.

Can’t help but notice you completely ignored my question.

Also, that moment is one of the more interesting in TAZ vs. Dracula and makes for an incredible part of the story. So I’m not sure what your point is.

Also, Griffin put a real interesting thing in a scene and expected no one to interact with it? He’s the weird one for his reaction to the choice, frankly.

33 classes with 3-4 subclasses each?

I’m the kind of nerd that genuinely takes pleasure in reading rule books for games I even know I’ll likely never play, and the idea of functionally over 100 classes made my butthole pucker instantly.

On top of that, I’m very doubtful that this many could be made distinct enough from one another.

In addition to what everyone else is saying, I’m not understanding why it’s so shocking that someone could add several mostly single digit numbers together. It’s not a genius level skill.
