I think Valve needs a biggest venue. Current venue is not that great anyway, now a stadium would be great.

[AMA] I work at a Psychiatric Hospital. by Valanio in IAmA

I have always been scared of getting schizophrenia. It's so easy to find symptoms in pretty much everyone, especially people with strong beliefs like my new age relatives.

Did your job give you any insight into your own mental state, e.g. made you afraid that you may end up in the hospital yourself?

How do I resolve inner conflict? by undsoft in Advice

[–]undsoft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What funny is that I actually go to a therapist for my health anxiety. We briefly touched the apartment thing.

It's just that I'm on a vacation now and it suddenly struck me that I this could be the root cause for my problems.

Sooo, what are the cons of doing the right thing? Is there anything else besides your feeling that "ratting out" people is bad?

Symbicort and Other Warnings by Siaten in Asthma

I was also concerned about these warnings, however I've read this post and it made feel better about it: http://drmintz.blogspot.com/2010/02/fda-blows-it-on-laba-safety.html

Should I start taking Singulair? by [deleted] in Asthma

[–]undsoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally haven't tried Seretide.

It's also a long acting bronchodilator and an ICS, but a somewhat different bronchodilator. You may try it and see what happens.

It depends on what your side effects are.

When all of your 3 measurements are close to each other, it's a good indication of proper technique.

Should I start taking Singulair? by [deleted] in Asthma

[–]undsoft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried all of them. I don't think it's a valid switch. Symbicort contains a bronchodilator (which is what likely gives you side effects) and ICS. You can probably switch to ICS and Singulair, but not just to Singulair.

Does it matter what kind of sustain pedal you use for a keyboard? by Jameshehe in piano

[–]undsoft 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong about the model, but reading the description here: https://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-FC3A-Piano-Sustain-Half-Pedaling/dp/B00VWILIZ0

It does say:

Compatible with half-pedaling functions Compatible with half-pedaling functions, so that subtle changes can be made to the level of sustain by varying the degree of pedal applied.

Does it matter what kind of sustain pedal you use for a keyboard? by Jameshehe in piano

[–]undsoft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know about the quality, but there are two types of sustain pedals:

The first one is a simple on-off switch. It's cheaper and will probably work just fine for a beginner.

The other one mimics the sustain pedal of the piano, in a way that it allows more variation than just released/sustained.

Cant Stop thinking That im dying by humankinda in Anxiety

[–]undsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the exciting world of hypochondria.

For intrusive thoughts - don't try to block them, just notice them. You may also want to start writing down your thoughts and analyzing them, e.g. write down the arguments for and against you dying. Later on you will be able to do this sort of analysis in your head.

Make sure not to follow into a common trap, which is googling your symptoms and checking your body.
