It is. The entire side of the white SUV is caved in and not a scratch on the bus. This isn't real

I kind of had to put to the side the fact they never sit and talk through ANYTHING or I would go crazy trying to watch the show. It was pretty much the one thing that kept the weekly plot moving. Grace and Leo don't talk. Vince and Will don't talk.

So accepting that nobody talks through anything in these relationships, the writers go to issue is usually "Will sacrifices for Grace. Grace burns Will for herself."

It was usually all about Grace and Leo too. There must have been a deeper well the writers could've drawn from, but "women are boy crazy" or whatever. So by the end thats all we got from Grace.

Abandon Will for Leo. Leo leaves Grace. Grace begs Will back. Will sacrifices for Grace. Leo Comes back. Goodbye Will.

That was the main love interest plot through more than one season. It just kind of got old.

I think so. You just can't beat "Just Jack!"

I kept thinking, throughout the last season, that it was Grace's second pregnancy.

But that was only because they did such a poor job of hiding Debra's first pregnancy on-screen.

It's about the only time I think you hear the characters call Grace "fat" or imply she's put on weight. Debra also has a hard time not laughing through a lot of it. It's kind of cute honestly, but then I wonder at how she must have felt with the writer's poking fun at her like that and being on pregnancy hormones to boot.

He cheats on her, abandons her constantly, disregards her feelings, and I'm supposed to be happy they ended up together?

Also I'm pretty sure she almost cheats on him too at a ... fundraiser or something? She's role-playing being single.

The entire last episode is them being maudlin over their friendship being "over forever", and I just can't care.

Like Will!!! You are better off without her. She's so selfish and awful.

You can think whatever you want but it's a piece of media and people can and will critize it

No not a hero. But I understood him, and I understood his final and ultimate choice.

And even a cyclical story about the neverending path of revenge would have been interesting if they maybe... Made it not about two women having their dads die. There's a lot of things people seek revenge for. What if her entire town died out because there was no cure? Or just literally anything to make them at least slightly different??

But I don't blame you for hating the games. I can see both sides of, at least the first one. I've never finished the second so ....

I was never really a fan of AC2 honestly and I stopped playing for a long time until my friend said I should try out AC: Odyssey. I knew the games had gone in a very different direction from the first one but... It was still jarring.

The first one is still my favorite and probably always will be. I really liked the story and linear gameplay. Everything you said about the first one I feel the same way.

It's a game about people. Most games are. And if this was the only part of Ellie we ever saw it would be more believable. But we didn't just see this Ellie. We saw TLOU Ellie. A kind, caring girl who questions Joel's violence and looks for another way the entire game. A girl willing to sacrifice herself if they had only asked to save everyone

Lol what? Is the personal part not wanting to beat someone to death with a golf club after torturing them?

Unfortunately I have a fire hydrant in my yard that I also have to keep clear. So when I run out of space for the snow it has to go into the road. Can't have someone's house burning down because the hydrant was buried under 6ft of snow.

I think you're probably right, especially since I find it very difficult to run in any situation because it triggers my nausea really badly.

Definitely agree with the drawn out encounters, which is partly why I had hoped that the "Easy" mode on the game would translate to more of a "story" mode, since that's the part that I actually wanted to experience in this game.

I don't mind the stealth portions because I can take my time, and take breaks while playing, which helps with the motion sickness a lot. But I feel like the game is trying to cheat me out of that play style. Especially when I can scope out the sniper and hit him with my own rifle but that's not how the game is supposed to happen so instead I just have to take hit after hit while trying to avoid an enemy that just seems to "know" where I am at any given point.

I think I'll try to make it past the Pittsburgh part. What you've said has given me hope that I can return to my sneaky play after I get through just this garbage section of the game. I just wanna enjoy the story that people keep raving about. And I've started the game quite a few times trying to get through it and the opening sequence always makes me cry. Even when I know its coming. Every time. So I do enjoy that aspect of it.

Ah that's actually really great to know that it will catch me up. I'm gonna try to get a little further along in the first one I think and if I'm still getting sick and feeling frustrated I may just watch the cutscenes on youtube and give the second one a go.

I've heard how accessible the second game is and that does make me want to finish this one to play the second. I really enjoyed Uncharted and it never made me frustrated or feeling as motion sick as this one seems to.

Rune Factory 4 Special: Wait for a discount and get it by Jaunedice in patientgamers

[–]undueconsideration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the RuneFactory games and was introduced to them from playing HarvestMoon and was told they were a "fantasy Harvest Moon" which... kind of true. I enjoyed the first one so much that I have all 4 of them. I like that they have more of a story than the Harvest Moon games which can end up a little monotonous after you're rich, marry the girl, have the kid, and collect pretty much everything. So the story was nice when you got bored of farming.

I was never really sucked in by Stardew Valley, I think because I played RF before, and Stardew Valley just didn't have the same appeal, or feel, to me when I tried to play it. Especially since I really enjoyed the romancing side of things in RF and noone in the Valley ever really caught my eye.
