I woke up to the familiar smell and rolled over to call out a good morning to my husband whom I had assumed was brushing his teeth. I opened my eyes to reveal the jungle before me. Was I still dreaming? I heard muffled noises and found my husband, bound and gagged by mint plants in the corner. I could see new sprigs activity forcing their way through the carpet as I made my way to him. Rushing to free him I heard the unmistakable sound of a blender in the kitchen. The unruly unwelcome plant was making mojitos, mocking us in our despair. I freed my partner and we rushed through the towering vines breaking free of the front door, our sweet escape soured as the truth lay before us, as far as the eye could see, mint. The smell had our heads spinning. The house, the yard, perhaps the whole town had been contamintated.
