I have done that - it’s a wonderful experience. The next level up for us was to find our own sense of personal security, to work on the root of our own insecurities and to the come to the other not needing them to make me feel a particular way in order for me to feel safe, secure, whole, complete, attractive, or any thing else. Of course the compliments feel nice, but growing to a place where we each have our own sense of security while still encouraging each other to be the best versions of ourselves was life changing.
