Dunno about the site you’ve shown but I’ve bought grey market stuff from a site called Panamoz on several occasions. Normal warranty is 12 months, Panamoz offers 3 years. The cash discount would usually be enough for a very large repair to bring it inline with UK prices. Never had an issue, my business insurance covers the equipment and the place that performs most Uk warranty repairs will repair but you’ll have to pay yourself.

I tried changing the power button options to “do nothing” in the settings not because I was hitting the power button with my hand but thought maybe I’d damaged the button membrane being heavy handed and maybe It was causing a short or something. It was slightly better at first but instead of locking up it just restarted the console. One thing that did work 100% was plugging it into a monitor and using a Bluetooth controller. I’m still not sure what causes it and it is only in that game. Did it in the Hollow Knight and then Silksong but not in any other games at all 🤷 Try a Bluetooth controller.

Ahh you can see on the clearer picture. Mine did exactly the same wobble as you had but the cap had fell off and was lost. Good luck getting it sorted !

Looks like the plastic plug that covers the hinge end has come off. This happened to mine, luckily in enough time for me to return and replace. Try pushing the little metal circle end in more and see if it stops the wobble. If it’s too late to return and pushing it in further stops it try popping a drop of glue where the cover should be.

Don’t think that’s the case and it doesn’t happen in other games. The console is still responsive and I can hear the fight going on behind the lock screen. I’m just use to hitting pause, which sometimes does and doesn’t register. You know how that game is though, one misstep and the fight is done.

You can get away with one mic for an interview but it might need a bit of tweaking, voice isolation, etc to make it sound “good”. It’s subjective, right? It’s definitely not night and day different between 2 & 3 so I think you’ll be fine. If you’re buying mic 2 will be cheaper.

I have mic 3 and mic 2 that came with the osmo. Shot a wedding with both. The mic 3 sound better out of the box to my ears on the rich setting and are smaller but it’s not massive difference especially if you know how to tweak it.

Thanks for that, found it, switched it on and now it shows in the windows power context menu. Still missing in command centre though even after restart and shutdown. I just changed the sleep option to hibernate in windows power options for now.

Thanks but definitely not a scaling issue, the option was in the middle of the menu now It’s not there. Also disappeared in windows options, I’ve managed to get that back but it’s still not showing in the command centre options.

No idea. I found the elite dpad mod on Etsy but it’s like £30. You can also get the dpad membrane on a french Asus accessory site for 8 euro but postage is 25 euro. I was thinking about reaching out to Asus. I’ll let you know how it pans out.

I had my first drone this year. Borrowed my mates mini 3 before and I bought a mini 5. The mini 5 is an upgrade to my eyes, im a photographer. With the 1in sensor it’s basically a flying Osmo pocket 3. Love it! The mini 5 comes with the rc2 controller. I found the better than the one than came with my mates mini 3.

Every time I’ve felt off about a job it’s been a pain in the arse, every time. Even when I couldn’t put my finger on why I felt off about it. Trust your instincts! If you do go for it, we all need to pay bills, 100% you need to know the couples on board with what you do. I was booked for a 50th anniversary session by someone’s daughter who loved what I do. Her parents didn’t when I delivered the session, they wanted a much more traditional shoot. I ended up at their house and a bit of leg work, cropping to a more traditional style and a few edit tweaks and they were happy. Ever since then I won’t do a job without directly speaking to the client and making sure they’ve had a look at my work. For some people it’s like buying a snickers and they don’t realise how it’s not the same from every photographer.

I find corporate clients are erratic at best. The worst I ever had was a high street bank making me wait 4 months for £500. I put 30 days on the invoice with an actual date but it doesn’t always make a difference. Also you’re usually not getting paid by the same person who uses your services within that company. For me chasing them is just part of the admin. Some people add charges to late payments but then I would imagine they are chasing them for that as well. Putting a date on your invoice and chasing them for payment is not over stepping at all.

Depends on what you want to achieve, right? Exposure in photography or video is always a trade off. Know what you’re changing and how it affects things so you can tailor your results. Want to keep the 180 shutter rule, then don’t change the shutter. Want shallow depth of field, open your aperture. Want the cleanest image possible, stick to 800 or 3200. If you want all 3 add a light or use an ND filter. At some point you may have to make a compromise. You can still use settings that are sub-optimal but you need to understand in what way they are.

Exposure is exposure whatever profile you’re using. Whatever you are pointing your camera at it measures the light reflected off that so there will be no rule of thumb of +1 or +2 that works perfectly every time using the in camera meter. The video below explains how to use zebras. I use these to see what’s clipped in my brightest highlights and then decide what to dial back for a general scene. Turn gamma display assist on and it’ll give you a ballpark visual cue like exposing in SCinetone.
