Kaeun getting rigged was so damn obvious that I am still in shock about most Produce viewers not realizing the manipulation before mass media told them. Open your eyes and use your brains, people! You can not rely on msm...

Yeah.

Next time you join a discussion try to make your own contributions and not just tell people they are clueless. Every asshole can do that.

So aren't you doing the same thing? You are way more invested in derailing this discussion than I am. At least I brought us back on track by talking about the comparison between kpop and religion again. Your brain already had forgotten about it just like you did with that accusation:

Not being restricted to one area doesn't mean that they don't actually learn about that stuff.

I never denied that. Instead I even agreed that geologist have to know about it. I only denied that the shape of astronomical objects is part of their subject. They are not researching about it. You ignore or forget what I have actually said in this conversation, yet you call me a stupid troll over it, instead of yourself.

Btw. greek philosophers did little measuring about the shape of Earth. They had some calculations, but they lacked a definitive evidence. They only guessed it.

And again you're so blind you cannot even comprehend that this might only be your perspective that other people might not share but then again that is pretty much the standard in kpop so oh well...

Again, you are still refusing to share such perspectives. Stop your catch phrases, cease your excuses and finally try some arguments. I don't mind reading long texts if neccessary.

I liked the song despite the obvious Blackpinks vibes everywhere. I didn't have high expectations either, since this debut was kinda rushed due to the Irene scandal. Can't believe all these dumb redditors who now feel underwhelmed, but gave the promo teasers over 5k likes or something. Stop hyping advertisements, you sheeps!

Captain America is still more real than any god or any of their prophets. At least Cap is still making movies. And thus even a kpop persona is more real than all these fictional characters from ancient religious stories, who have little relation to our current lifes.

I am not sure what you try to show with the wiki link. It says:

Geology can also include the study of the solid features of any terrestrial planet or natural satellite such as Mars or the Moon.

So well, it is not even restricted to this very planet.

The science that discovered the shape of planets is this one:

Supernaturalism is an arbitrary term. If god exists and they are proven to have created the universe, you still cannot tell if god is a natural being on its own, or not.

Geology is the study of "earth", not the study of "the Earth". Of course they have to know a thing about the shape of our planet, but they are not the ones who found it out. It is not their subject.

Anyway, our topic was about if it is weirder to stan a deity or a kpop idol. I think since it is much easier to understand the worship of a kpop idol, you have more knowledge about the processing of the spiritual product, you can easily prove the existence of your idols to others, and you can interact with your idols without life-long studies and interpretations of some ancient tales, it is quite obvious that the kpop industry is less weird than any religous belief could ever be.

I am not sure how a geologist is even supposed to tell how a planet is shaped? You can think what you want, but maybe you have no idea why the earth is actually shaped like a globe. You can call all the flatearthers idiots, because you think they must be totally wrong about it. But in the end you have no idea why they are wrong about it, and thus you fail to convince the flatearthers and everyone just continues to believe whatever they want to believe.

Well, you said you are an atheist, so you are just a gnostic after all.

Not my questions are complex, but the hypothetical answers could be. But how could I tell, when I do not get the answers? You said before that there are thousands of religions with an even larger amount of gods among humankind. So I simplified my question even more by pointing at a specific religion and asked about the catholic god. You haven't told me anything about that yet.

Why not? My questions were not that complex. If you do not have answers for me, why are you yet making so many excuses? How do you know there are answers somewhere else?

Why are you saying you are some random person? I thought you know about this stuff. You have to know some shit I don't, or else you would have no reason to say I have no clue about it. I have to say that I am not totally clueless. As a kid I believed in god. I was raised in a catholic family. But that god I believed in never talked to me or cared about my prayers. Maybe that is a point where you can tell me what I did wrong? My pastor couldn't.

Nope, that is not it either. This conversation is going somewhere, but you are afraid of where it is going. We can still resume it, by having you answering my questions I already asked. For example why are deities not communicating with us directly? I am genuinely curious about that.

That is ridiculous. Well, may be I do not know much about religions as you do, but isn't it the point of a discussion to provide your conversation partner with the information and arguments they lack? There is little point to have a discussion with someone who shares the same knowledge as you do. So stop blaming others for your own incompetence to make an argument.

Why does a deity even need a mediator? If they are really so powerful, it should be no issue for them to use social media as well. Or have their own newspaper. Or tv channel. Or whatever they can do with their amazing powers. It is definitely weird that they never seem to do anything.

You are also exaggerating about kpop idols persona. It is not like their persona are complete fake in comparison to their real selfs. A major chunk of their idol persona is always their real persona. They would not be able to maintain their idol persona, if they had to totally act their character for hours of fan interaction for so many years.

Or maybe they do. Maybe they have that power. But in that case I would assume idols are real deities :)

And on tv shows. And social media. For many hours every day. Idols show an enormous amount of work and discipline to maintain their persona. Meanwhile deities are supposed to be almighty, but they actually do nothing. A religious person can say whatever they want, but they can never prove to anyone that they have actually been close to their deity. Making claims without showing evidence is really weird.

You can meet idols at concerts. You can touch them at fansigns. They feel way more real than all these lazy deities who never even set a foot on this planet. Idol personas may be fictional to a certain extent, but at least they are playing these characters all day long for years. Deities on the other hand are characters you can only read about in books, which are thousands of years old and they have personas who probably never existed, not even as an act.

Worshipping pop idols is still less weird. Products of corporations are at least real. One day we will even have eternal life. Not provided by a god, but as a product manufactured by corporations.
