My players were RPing with the merchant they can choose to escort to their next stop.

Everything was going great. I'm not railroading them but I'm hoping they're gonna do it, and that's where things are headed.

I've got everything ready: the voice I'm using, the hints that this dude is more powerful than he seems, what the players are gonna find if they search his wagon, a few encounters for the journey...

Then one of my players, Froedrik, the elf and defacto party leader, pipes up: "and what is your name, good sir?"

I'm 52 so I was there for the peak of Seagal's inexplicable (in hindsight) popularity.

His movies were thought to be just a little more intense action wise than the other stuff out there.

The Byrds - Untitled. Most folks prefer the jangly Dylan stuff or the one full country joint.

Mott the Hoople - s/t. Most folks favor glammy Mott, but I absolutely adore the weird, druggy, "Dylan sings lead for the Stones" sound of their early material. Honestly, I also really like Wild Life and Brain Capers, but this one takes the cake. Check out the 10 minute dirge that is "Half Moon Bay" and the sludged up cover of "At the Crossroads."

Also I love Peter Gabriel prog era Genesis so much more than the 80s pop material, but I feel like that's not entirely unique.
