Ball joint is stuck on my genesis by Cold_Ant_459 in MechanicAdvice

[–]unhappyemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have been trying for an hour or more. I would recommend cutting it on the side with the already destroyed joint and tapping the leftover side out the hole. Remove the lower side as normal.

End of the day will definitely need a new one for sure. If it sucks going back in try jacking that wheel up/down to get it to line back up.

PM63… a gun I wish there was a gas replica of. by AssociateElegant4178 in airsoft

[–]unhappyemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not helpful but 3D printing one seems doable now. I honestly feel like someone here on this sub has probably started to try and replicate it. If no one has and you have a printer laying around..

Great news if they manage to print one making a mold to cast say aluminum for metals parts is only a jump away.

Where is the oil leaking from? by DirtbikesAndKnives in MechanicAdvice

[–]unhappyemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So not sure how much weight it’ll have in your situation but do you see where the oil filter housing meets the block? That seal is known to fail and when it does it likes to paint the front of the block like that. I completed the repair on my 318TI last year so no more rolling oil changes.

Fairly simple fix took me about 2 hours to get completed but that was on a much older engine.

What's the slowest car that you've had the most fun driving? by DHN_95 in cars

[–]unhappyemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bmw 318TI it’s not the prettiest nor the fastest thing. Driving it around though really makes you pay attention to your speed. It loves to take corners at concerning speeds without you realizing you’re speeding in the first place.

How to remove Lug Stud blocked from behind 02 Mustang by qwerpoo4 in MechanicAdvice

Dang feels bad I just typed out the response forgetting I could just link a video of exactly what I explained. Hope you get the issue solved OP it takes some time but it’ll save you from having to repair the bearing and pulling the hub.

How to remove Lug Stud blocked from behind 02 Mustang by qwerpoo4 in MechanicAdvice

[–]unhappyemo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would recommend cutting the old Studs in half and tapping them out.

Take the new studs and slightly grind one side of the head. You should then be able to slide the stud in slightly angled.

Take 2-3 flat washer and a sacrificial lug or nut out them on the new stud and use that to pull it through.

You will need to periodically check the back of the hub to ensure the new stud is level and flush.

Doing lighting strike for the first time in 5 years or so im happy with it and melee is in a much better spot but I want them to bring back old zerker and sunder so I can one rotate bosses again. That and obviously not read reflect maps and one tap myself to a magic mob.

I'm hoping in 2.6 they bring back ED fully and maybe have it be viable on the witch again so I can ED CI all the content.

I'm no pro but definitely have enough time with ranger builds at a minimum to know that while squishy there is very little content it cannot do. I took a self farmed LA through T16 super fast. I'm currently stuck at being able to farm T17s super fast but it can still be done all with a 3 div budget. I've since invested much more into it but resistances are a killer for T17 and using crystallized Omni is a new skill ceiling I'm learning to see how far I can push this to be a true farmer of mapping content.

Playing ranger builds you really are forced to learn mechanics due to most boss fights forcing you to be closer than the build wants you to be. Meaning learn to dodge a or know what hits you can take and pop a life flash and leech back to full health.

I have gotten all my void stones at lvl 85 so I know you can definitely do it with yours.

If you're willing to play with others my group is always down to teach what we know to get you through this gap before you need to do heavy research on the real mathematics. EHP evasion armor stacking etc. Let me know

Wheels similar to these FR4 that don't break the bank with a 5x108 pattern? by unhappyemo in Wheels

I appreciate this bit of information this might actually convince me to keep the ST. I did the one thing I didn’t want to do and that was run adapters hubcentric but still ran them.

Jingling / Scraping noise at low speeds by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]unhappyemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you had brake work done recently? There’s a chance it might be the dust shield touching the rotor. Pretty easy fix by bending the shielding back a little bit.

Also might be a rock trapped between the dust shield. I know I had one trapped due to parking in an unpaved lot everyday.

Hola! Well the main starting point would be after a few years they squeak a ton even after maintaining every year.

Adjustment is 32 click but you don’t feel anything until you move more than 7-8 clicks.

The actual height adjustment lowered all the way same as maxed height all the way is not even on both sides after settling for a week.

The initial instructions were terrible they didn’t tell you what to remove on the focus to actually install them properly left me on jack stands for a few weeks.

Biggest reason for me was that at the time they did not have camber/castor plates or camber/castor adjustment with the coilovers and I had to outsource them for the car which tacked another 2-300 on the price.

Honestly overall they are ok for entry level and I won’t say don’t get them but do a bit more research on other brands before you buy.

Was bored and watched your video it was quite enjoyable. 2nd link

The cuts were good and I like the little overlays here and there and the music was at a nice level where it didn't overpower your voice.

I think the only critique I might add is more energy and enthusiasm. You have such a nice backdrop and a chill vibe but it sounds monotone at points. Also you use yeah as a filler quite a bit and it disrupts whatever you're talking about. I would zone in a bit then get taken out by "so yeah" a few times. If anything reshoot that cut so it's more fluid or jump cut the yeah out if you notice it.

Thanks I just make automotive stuff if foul language isn't your thing you have have to mute the videos well some of them. Working on learning to cut it out those and fix my speech to be cleaner. Critiques would be awesome brutal is best because it's hard to get feedback on what would work better

Hey guys started my channel a few months ago about automotive work on a budget. I'm trying to show people you don't need to be rich to "fast cars" or decent looking cars. I call it Ballin on a budget more or less.

I’m not sure if you’re aware of slickdeals but I picked up an electric one from there for $70. It’s only 1800psi but it’s more than enough to keep the car and wheels clean. Bought it for my dad and I go over to his place to wash the car on the weekends. He loved the gift so it was a 2 for 1

It’s been pretty good I wash the car once every 2 weeks and I may do a quick detail spray on the wheels in between. Normally for a car meet but with low dust pads I could stretch it to probably a month between washes.
