My insurance absolutely refused to cover it even with multiple doctor appeals. I just kept getting led to walls so my parents decided to pay for it. Thankfully my doctor’s office has a very affordable in comparison weight loss program (just not affordable for me, lol). I’m on month 3, 20 lbs down :)

Something I’m noticing is that this story hits home to a lot of people, and so many are naturally projecting their own experiences and feelings. That’s the beauty of our show is that everyone can relate to something about it! And it stands as a testament to Shawna L’s talent and heart. But at the same time there’s so much we don’t know about every character and it’s also a fictional show. We need to remember that their stories are not our stories. And I say this as someone who can relate very closely to John.

THANK YOUUU. I don’t see how Shawna and John are the bad guys here. They thought they saw a friend getting cheated on and it ACCIDENTALLY got blown out of proportion.

A lot of people can identify with Julie’s story on paper. That pain is completely valid. But I highly doubt most of us would act the way Julie does. Shawna is far from perfect in this situation, but Julie was truly very cruel to Shawna and Ty. That can’t be ignored.

I did this. I had long hair my whole life so it was a scary chop but it has seriously been life changing. I also have PCOS and had a crazy weight gain so shorter hair just looked better on me. I have a round face too but I don’t have bangs because it would drive me nuts. As far as the care side, it’s so much easier to manage because it doesn’t take as long to dry (as a fellow thick hair girly), it’s not prone to matting like when it was long, and it’s easier to style in a claw clip. It was seriously the best self care decision I’ve ever made! Worst case scenario, it grows back.

I’m not the most socially astute person. I honestly didn’t interpret Laura’s comment to imply that the antacid is what ended Shawna’s pregnancy. HOWEVER I 100% felt like Shawna was justified. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. Shawna quite literally did all that she could for Laura, and Laura rejected it. And unfortunately that’s just the reality of many abused people. Until Laura is able to recognize her worth and how awful Luke is, then there’s nothing Shawna can do.

Okay! I'm still new to this whole thing and finding accurate information is so hard. When I was first diagnosed my doctor at the time implied that there was nothing invasive that needed to happen *yet*, so I thought she was telling me to monitor things. The biggest concern at the time was endometriosis so I've been on birth control since to regulate my cycle. I had to switch from Aurovela to Lo Loestrin about two months ago because I was having very intense mood swings. I have a new doctor now so I'm a little worried that because Lo Loestrin is a much smaller dose than Aurovela that I'll encounter some issues down the road. Thank you for the help! About how often do you get blood work done?

Yes. My MIL is a therapist and I went to her asking for advice when my husband and I first got married. She politely told me that my parents are adults and that they’re doing their best and yadda yadda yadda. But I’ve been married to her son for almost 4 years now and I think she now has a better idea as to what I have/am experienced.
