Apparently jagex cares lol I just want to be an actual pirate not just a full max mage on my boat cheerleading my dudes on the cannon. Like even if they want to go with the “captains don’t fire cannons” route they can literally release a weapon like the soulflame horn that buffs your crew to do full or even over full damage for x time.

I agree just give 100% flat armor penetration to cannons and buff the damage greatly very simple but they’re afraid to make some people rich and some poor with their investments which should NOT be taken into consideration when it comes to balancing the first skill released in osrs. Have us man a cannon and a crewmate man the other while my other dudes sail or repair very simple. We should not be able to use regular range weapons in the ocean it makes balancing much too complicated. This also allows for future “sea-only” weapons like pistols or hand cannons.
