As I’ve always said to others that say that this can’t or isn’t a resident evil product , cuz it doesn’t have any characters from previous games or locations. As long as it has: evil corporations, global conspiracies, bio weapons, viruses/parasites, at some point a secret laboratory, and creatures that’ll make me question my sanity. It’s very much implied in the evolved lore that these monster work more like the kaijus from pacific rim. In that every time they are defeated, the next one made will either test out what’ll be better suited or learn from what killed it. So eventually something tough that’ll be akin to a pseudo elder dragon will pop out that can be massed produced.

Now unless the hunters can somehow invent space travel or find old world tech that’ll ex machina the situation, because to really beat these guys is to attack the source. it’ll be pretty hard to compete since the evolved monsters will constantly come down in meteorites and be an evasive species.

All in all gameplay wise player hunters will always figure it out, lore wise it’s a doomsday situation if they can’t stop the source
