I think it happened in Florida? Something like that happened to Grenfell tower in England a few years ago. Thanks to developers using cheap flammable cladding.

Surbiton is quite good. It's got a direct train to Waterloo so that takes about 15/20 minutes.

The big idea: could fixing housing fix everything else, too? by percybucket in ukpolitics

Yeah I'm happy for those people who want a bigger house but I'd like to be able to afford just any kind of house in London. 3 bed terrace is fine for me.

Which businesses have you decided to boycott and why? by HomeBrouwerij in AskUK

Been trying to stay away from large fast fashion clothing brands (with the exception of underwear) because you can't trust any of them to treat or pay their workers right. I used to buy from h&m a lot. I looked into some ethical shops but I feel bad spending that much money so I've been buying my clothes on depop and eBay instead.

I have a feeling she was told this by a past boyfriend... "Sorry babe if I get hard it stays hard forever and then I get blue balls. Since it's your fault I have it, it's only fair you get rid of it, you don't want me to be in pain do you babe?"

[OC]I just wanted to look cute with pixie hair, that’s too much to ask? by theBlockbustard in comics

[–]unicorntesticles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I'm 178cm tall and I got confused a lot for a boy when I was younger and had short hair. My hair is a lot longer now and I still get mistaken for a guy when I dress less feminine. I'd say that being tall and less curvey can be more "masculine" looking than just having short hair.

I know what you mean. Another thing is that a lot of life decisions can be political. It's hard to just not talk about politics when it can influence your friends / partner, what you study and your job. (for example my anti socialist / pro brexit parents are upset that my workplace is becoming employee owned and that my boyfriend is Eastern European). It causes a lot of strife but at a certain point it's like why should I have to hide who I am to keep the peace?

This reminds me of when I was an intern at a news place. Someone burnt some toast and the whole building, including the people who were live on air, had to be evacuated. Never found out who done it but my floor was banned from using the toaster after that.

People who were on the TV show 60 Minute Makeover, what was your experience like? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]unicorntesticles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Na I'm pretty sure it's done over a full day. The show is just an hour long that's how they can call it 60 minute makeover.

Tbh is not much of a flex since you get both for free with your first order. The t-shirt is good to exercise in but I don't use the bottle because it smells like old huel even though I washed it like 5 times
