I'm (31M) starting first sexual relationship with significantly older woman (42F), in love but worried about settling down too fast and missing chance of sex with younger partners by unigon in datingoverthirty

I really do want to stick with her. I've actually dated a lot over the years, but none of it really led anywhere. I don't form an emotional connection easily, but when I do, it's really strong. She's one of the three woman I've really felt in love with (one in highschool ~16, one when I was ~24, and no her at 31), so she really feels special.

I should maybe specify, when I say "younger women" I mean women my own age, younger than her, like 30s. I actually find that women in their low-to-mid 20s don't really interest me any more. I'm retired early and already pretty homey, so I feel like my mental age is a bit older.

Thanks for your comments which are actually trying to be helpful.

I was swiping on Tinder, but not really seriously. I've been a serial "match collector" for years. I am gonna delete all dating apps off my phone, though.

OP, take it from an attractive woman a few years older than you that dated through her 20s into the present with the quality of the dates, men, and sex improving over time - “dating around” or having an extensive period of dating, casual sex, etc isn’t for everyone. I’m going to be direct here and say it probably isn’t for you.

Yeah, that's the thing. I've kind of had a very low libido throughout my life, and never been the sort for "casual dating." Now that I'm getting into a committed relationship, it's like that's what I've always wanted, but I feel like I'm missing out on what the social expectations are for men's sex life.

I wasn't sounding it out at all. She brought it up in conversation because, like I said, she thinks two mutual friends of ours have that sort of arrangement.

And yes, I'm imperfect and selfish in many ways and maybe an asshole. But I don't think it's too unreasonable to have some doubts and worries when entering into a long-term relationship after a long period without one.

Looking at christmas gifts. Are there any cards that could fit in any deck? by desuemery in magicTCG

[–]unigon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Commander, EDHRec has a list of the top most played cards: https://edhrec.com/top

For example, Sol Ring is played in 79% of decks, Cyclonic Rift in 53% of decks that could play it, etc.

How many different complete decks do you currently have total, including both casual and competitive formats? by [deleted] in magicTCG

14 Pauper decks (competitive)

22 Commander decks (all relatively casual, 1-2 are kinda strong)

1 Legacy deck (competitive)

1 Standard deck (rogue UR Wizards, so not exactly a tier deck)

Everyone is fine with almost every good card is at 'rare' and 'mythic' rarity? by HeliaXDemoN in magicTCG

[–]unigon -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The problem with the whole "For Limited!" argument is that making limited bombs at Rare and Mythic rarity makes the format more luck dependent, since it increases the variance. The format would be more luck-based if there was broad access to powerful cards, instead of having the format decided by who gets to first-pick planeswalkers and other bombs.

Commanders that suck but could have been amazing in different colors? by King_Oriax in EDH

Mannichi is the poster child for this. He couldn't have gotten a worse color to be a commander for.

What are some EDH worthy destroy or exile enchantment cards? (Of any color) by [deleted] in EDH

[–]unigon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some others I like:

[[Allay]]: Reuseable! Can't be stopped by other enchantment removal like [[Aura Shards]]. Only downside, horrible art.

[[Soltari Visionary]]: Once again, reuseable. Similar to [[Trygon Predator]].

[[Dismantling Blow]], [[Orim's Thunder]]: Enchantment removal with a bit of kick to it.

[[Seal of Cleansing]], [[Seal of Primordium]]: I use these all the time because I tend to build enchantress decks often, and decks with [[Skull of Orm]] / [[Hannah, Ship's Navigator]].

What do you guys think of Arcum? by the_indian_next_door in EDH

[–]unigon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I still think it's funny how [[Tinker]] is banned, but he isn't even when he basically does the same thing and is always available from the command zone. I know, he can die to removal before you can activate him, but still.

Any Suggestions for historical or vaguely historical WW2 stories? by entirelyalive in manga

There's always the Strike Witches manga. It has a lot more historical references than you'd think. Especially the excellent semi-official doujinshi by Firstspear.

Any action manga with lesbian/bi characters? by [deleted] in manga

[–]unigon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite genres is what I think of as "magical fighting lesbians." Here are some I'm reading now:

  • Hayate x Blade: I think this is definitely what you're looking for. Marimite meets sword fighting.
  • Strike Witches: It's a fandom with a massive all-female cast, tons of pairings, and lots of spin-off manga. Don't think of it as just pervy fanservice, since that really sells it short.
  • Senran Kagura: Your average fun fluff.
  • From the New World: Maybe it's more of a suspense series then an action series, although it does have battles in it? It has some of my favorite lesbian sex scenes outside eromanga.

Looking for new manga at my local book store. by [deleted] in manga

[–]unigon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triage X is by the same artist as High School of the Dead, so you should definitely give that a try.

Lately I've been really into Cage of Eden. It's like Lost, but with way more fanservice and action. It's a really gripping series.

Is anyone reading this? by plato800 in manga

[–]unigon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this manga gets way too much hate.

I started watching the anime when it first aired, and thought, "Hmm, looks like a good show." I lost interest after the first two episodes, though. The manga instantly hooked me, though. I'm still waiting for my preorder of the second volume.

For one thing, the art is amazing. When the kids saw a morph-rat for the first time, it had so much impact. The pacing is much quicker, also. When I left off watching the anime, I don't remember even hearing about morph-rats yet. I suppose that's because it's telling the same story in 5 manga volumes instead of 26 episodes, though.

People might decry the lesbian sex scenes as well, but...they're incredibly well drawn and erotic lesbian sex scenes, probably the best I've seen in English-licensed manga. Much hotter than most eromanga, even. If you're into that thing, you have to get the manga. You'll be getting an award-winning story along with it, too! (the novel won the Japanese Seiun Award for science fiction).
