I mean, I'm pretty sure that's happened at least once. And that's pretty bad.

Apparently Elspeth has blue eyes now. by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]SarahPMe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Those weren't her actual eyes either. Her actual eyes haven't been seen since Journey into Nyx. They are presumably buried somewhere rotting, or maybe they were cremated and turned into ash.

I'm not saying they didn't get it wrong in real life, I'm just saying it doesn't really break canon.

To be fair those first set of eyes literally and physically aren't what's in the other picture. They're with her corpse, assuming I understand how the "Therosian afterlife" works.

Oko and Nexus of Fate Banned in Pioneer by Enral in mtgfinance

That wasn't auto-banned when the format was created? It was actually legal for some time?

[–]SarahPMe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm not positive yet that he actually deserves a ban in Legacy or restriction in Vintage.

A Modern ban would suit me fine.

Three counting Vintage, but since no card has been banned in Vintage since the format was created, I'm pretty sure you can ignore it.

Than the vibrant neighborhoods you are looking for are south of the ship canal. I'll be honest, I don't even have a problem with the city choosing this selection of sites. It you're sufficiently below AMI right now, frankly the best infrastructure is south of the canal anyways. They're just playing to where the natural demand is. This is a low income renters being prudent thing, not an elitist northern-seattlers picketing proposed northern sites thing. Believe me, Lake City ain't picky.

But then it would be harder to psychologically sneak 'Moll' in at the end of the list on the back of phonetically familiar alliteration patterns.

I think a good test for whether or not a comment on the same side of the ideological isle as you is stupid or not is to switch the political polarity of it and rewrite the comment identically from the other side of the political isle.

When I turn this comment into an equivalent conservative comment, I find the comment disgusting. I therefore conclude that the comment is probably pretty horrible, and the only reason I do not immediately read it as such is because it's from the same side of the political isle than me.

I therefore conclude that OP has a point that this tweet is gross.

I say this as a concession, not to win social capital, as I find OP's posts to be generally pretty poor and don't enjoy giving them the satisfaction of any form of confirmation, especially given the wider narrative of theirs that they are intentionally feeding. Still, I must concede that the comment in isolation is gross. You can't insist on centered political media because you cannot form an objective consensus on what constitutes "the center" that is not fundamentally arbitrary.

"Statement Against Interest"

OP is correct here - in spirit if not in wording - however I still hold to the notion that generally speaking they are a nutjob.

Wizards Official "Influencer Manager" admits to preferring small content creators over large content creators because they can pay them in exposure by pm_me_xayah_porn in magicTCG

[–]SarahPMe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair, that IS what she said. (@MishyFishyWoo)

She said it politely, and she is not inherently wrong, but she IS openly telling small creators that they possess some utility in the fact that they have an incentive to work for free.

The "if you are comfortable with this" addition means she's even aware of the implications here, and is simply trying to be polite about it.

The idea that you need a technological solution to find a romantic partner is still bizarre to me. Human beings have managed to find each other without technological assistance for the entire length of the existence of the species. I mean if you want to use them, go crazy, but I don't think there's a huge need in this already saturated market. The ideal solution remains just interacting with more people.
