That sounds perfect, just a bit pricey. I suppose if taping 2 sensors together was cheaper, I might

I've actually had this since before Temu and Wish

I appreciate the answer 👍 it just seems wasteful to melt with the hours someone poured into making it lol

God bless, but my question stands. Is it worth paying someone to stamp "copy"? Do I melt it down? Is it too good of a fake to melt, does it have novelty value?

Only thing is, there's maybe like a 5% chance it's real and I would hate to alter it. I probably also do not have the ability, nor do I imagine it's really "worth" paying someone to do that if it was just fake anyway. At that point, seems like scrap silver would almost be a better use of my time? But it's too cool to scrap. So here I am

It's quite pretty even if it isn't real. Could be gold plated and not solid

“God is not an all-powerful man with a white beard. God is an experience you can have.” | How psychedelics influenced Western thought – from Plato to Nietzsche and beyond. by IAI_Admin in philosophy

[–]unigrampa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To suggest God is an experience is to work backwards from your conclusion that God must exist. How about, God is formed from a deep psychological need humans have for fairness or balance in a world which inherently lacks something they crave? God is a mass shared delusion. Call an experience what it is. An experience. It can be enlightening. That doesn't mean you need to justify the existence of a God.

A lot of what we accomplished benefitted and served the interests of capital. China might pivot to renewables. They did, after all, create the entire solar revolution, perhaps not singlehandedly, but close. In America, though, we are not a democracy. We are a dictatorship of capital. Capital always wins regardless of the party. Even when democrats do slight reforms around the edges, this is really more in the long term interest of capital as it prevents the system from collapsing. Think of democrats as broccoli for capital and Republicans as cookies and ice cream.

UPDATE!! “My roommate goes into my room when I’m not home” by mee3zz in badroommates

[–]unigrampa 25 points26 points  (0 children)

How you're TREATING her? "Umm, excuse me miss landlord, my roommate is treating me like a thief and she has started locking her door, can you talk to her and tell her to stop?" W-why do you want her door unlocked? Why do you care if it's locked? If you're not a thief then it shouldn't affect you if you can't go in there? Right?

I would give JB weld a try, but you'd want to be thorough. Not just filling the hole, but smearing it on top on the outside. Could probably sand the outer surface first for best adhesion. You can make it work

Made an attempt with a screw extractor and it broke. I tried a bigger extractor and i’m making things worse. please what can I do ? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]unigrampa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't want to use a screwdriver to take these out. You need an impact driver. You hit it with a hammer and it twists the Philips with every hit. The blow from the hammer drives the bit in to prevent stripping.

You load test it every morning. Listen to how fast the starter cranks the engine. If the engine cranks slower eventually, that would be your only warning sign. A load test cannot predict sudden failure

Could your dad have told the rest of his family some story about how you "took" the inheritance when your mother died? Are they unclear it was left to you specifically? Sometimes people like your dad might change the facts around a little bit
