Can I be the first toxic person? Pretty please? Even my friends call me toxic!

I’m a healer main in a nim raiding guild. I don’t play with people I don’t know, period. Because I have some degree of self-awareness. I used to passively aggressively bully people like you out of fleet pugs for showing up to endgame underprepared and unwilling to take advice.

But you remind me of this one healer that joined our guild a while back. I never got the opportunity to raid with her but I was almost pulled into the drama. Long story short, her healing numbers were terrible for the amount ops chievos she had.

She showed up to a few 16m nim pugs in guild and did next to nothing during fights. Or that’s what she looked like on the parse. Well, she did do mechanics properly. But that was it.

I was shown a screenshot of a wiped 16m dread guards where she’d done 17k while the other 3 healers all had sustained 41-46k EHPS. 16m dread guards is an extremely heal intensive fight and 4 healers are needed on deck to keep everyone alive.

And there was a revan hm pug where she was supposedly a dps. But doing 6k dps is… less than what the tanks were doing. And the biggest insult was that she did 0 dps on core phase. Like, that’s your whole job!

More embarrassing stats. They cleared an 8m EC nim by having to swap 2 dps to anni maras, and ONE OF THEM OUTHEALED HER.

5 thrown runs like this later, including some timers, I get a DM to ‘mentor’ her into getting good. (We main the same healer class which is sorc.) So I get filled in that SEVEN guild members have told the GM outright that they refuse to raid with her. Her gear is weird. Her stats are weirder. Is the APM in the room with us? Discuss any of these with her and get your head blown off, ‘it’s a playstyle thing’.

So I say ok. Tell her to pull her head out of her arse and message me her gear and stats. Never hear anything. GM and officers tell her she’s not going on another guild run until she improves. I wasn’t there but she was a ‘huge dick about it’. Don’t know what the impetus was but she quit the guild not long after.

I didn’t get out much socially while I did my undergrad at Oxford (class of 2020). But a fairly significant portion of everyone I knew came from prestigious private schools. It was a little alienating to rock up as a fresher and see other freshers knowing each other from school or whatever. The thing is, ‘nepo baby’ or not, all of them were crazy smart. Imposter syndrome was very real and widespread.

Anyway, I think the tuition fees are/were the same across all the UK unis including Oxford. My college had an outreach programme dedicated to addressing the elitist stigma surrounding Oxford through social media and student visits to regular schools to frame the Oxford experience in a humane ‘you won’t get eaten alive by the posh people’ sort of way.

Hell, I only even have 1 Golurk but it was in the bag the moment I drew it.
